Nefarian - wording for tomorrow

I put together this wording so people know that we are serious about killing Nefarian, and also to make sure that people dont leave after 3 attempts. If they join for this fight, they join for the whole evening.

Anyways, plz answer fast so we can put this wording up the fastest as possible

In recognition of our lacking attempts of Nefarian, we want to make sure that we all do the best we can do for tomorrows fight at Nefarian.

Since we killed all in the instance including Chromaggus, we have the whole night to kill Nefarian. He spawns every 15 minutes and the fight is about 5 minutes, so we should be able to do around 3 attempts pr. hour. Starting around 19.30 should therefore make us do around 12 attempts, and that should be enough to get him down.

We will therefore keep trying and trying this fight until we get it perfect. Therefore if you expect to join the raid, expect to spend the whole night in BWL

To help us kill him the best way, its important that you stack up upon potions and read up upon the tactics so you know exactly what your job is in this fight.

If we manage to kill him early tomorow, wil we be going AQ 40.
Wil we be contiuing the same dkp system or wil we be dooing a new one?

If we are going for a new one for AQ40 /seperate DKP system. I wilthen fear that more wil skipp MC BWL as this no longer helps them get ahead/catch up DKP wise.
Just a smal thaugth for the ones dooing the dkp debate.
We could chang the way we handout the dkp in the new instance and just ad it to the old pool fo dkp acuierd.

As for AQ40, I say no, let's do Onyxia instead.  Keep the positive theme going.  When we start downing Nefarian regularly then we should start to schedule AQ40 raids.  That gives us plenty of time to prepare and discuss what is needed.

And on AQ we shouldnt start that till 1.11 then ppl can quite eazyly get thier nature res items up a bit, cause atm its hard as hell to get that on good tanking kit.

and start to think about a good tactic for Bronze / Blue

When Nefarian is down, we need to start thinking about changing MC with AQ. And maybe using signup on another day for MC.
But let's not get ahead of ourselves. Let's kill the TANGO first.

As for the DKP system, I thought Kreuz was on it? But anyhow, every system like this has a flaw. We just need to decide if we stick with the one we have, or change to another one with a "lesser" flaw.

other then not controlling the hosting of the current site i dont really have a problem with the system, yes its flawed, but the flaws the same for the whole guild, so who cares....

Our biggest risk is that the DKP database disappears.  We ideally need to shift it onto our own hosting as this means that we get automatic backups (it falls under an automatic backup routine).

I gave up on the new DKP system since there were so many positive comments on our current one and apparently most people liked it the way it is. Even if it is TANGOed up  :narnar:

yeh, but if we cant export the old database then what? I mean this has been dragging along for over a month now

Ive been trying now and then with diffrent methods to get that Database copied, no success so far.
Ive asked Teni to have a look at it and try do the same but havent heard much from him about that.

I was going to mail the host and ask them if we could have a backup of that database but forgotten to do that,
and as im not going to be very active the following months one of you better do that.

Ive given Bastet and Kreuz full rights in the new system so they can do whatever they whant there.
