Due to the low attendance in Rg1 we seam to be having recently the officers have come up with the following options for attedance to improve, please select one of the following that has your support. At the end of the poll the officers will review the results
Aszune (Alliance):
Sokhar lv 80 (H/M) Warrior, Sokhár lv 80 (H/M) Death Knight, Beset lv 70 (NE/F) Druid, Bastet lv 70 (NE/F) Rogue, Mentu lv 70 (Dr/M) Shaman
-=[dMw]=-Bastet (CSS) / -=[dMw]=-Niwa (BF2) / -=dMw=- Sokhar (BF2142)
-=[dMw]=- MVP Award Holder (June 2006) Winning team -=[dMw]=- Christmas Crunch (2008)

Luthor

And remember to uphold the rule :D

ofc there should be taken into account that we are human beings

I voted last option, "you"'re better off with waiting for some time, i know its important to have enough ppl for raids, but if you recruit more people an rg3 is the first thing that comes to my mind. Its easier(but then again its more irritating ) to wait some time, and then recruit.

Because if you recruit "alot" "again" we're gonna hit the reason we made a rg2, overrecruitment. Im not saying its a negative thing, because rg2 rawks, they progress fast and they're a cool bunch, and its perfect for casual gamers.

I tend to ramble mad about, but my point is that you should wait, i dont anyone wants another RG atm, because that'll split people even more.

I voted the last option, and here are some reasons and comments from me:

* Exams are pretty much over by now (or maximum a week more I'd guess), meaning people should have more time for raiding :)

* Some time ago there was sent out a mail where we were supposed to answer quite a few questions about attendance and stuff - it would be nice to get some feedback to how the response to that mail was.  I assume that can answer some of our questions.

* Recruiting will, as Neff said, probably soon lead to a need for a thrid raid group, and I don't think we want that.  It's hard enough to administer this guild as it is.

* Adding one more of each class will much likely lead to too many people missing out on raids, and thus lead to mischief and dissatisfaction.  A bit the same as previous point: too many of each class was some of the reason RG2 was made.

* Upping the attendance requirements isn't necessarily a good thing - at least not the first thing I'd try out.  I would rather see people attend 5/6 (or 6/6) nights because they want to, not because they have to.  Another thing about attendance requirements: I'd rather see that people with low attendance (due to slack, not RL issues ofc) get warings (and if that doesn't work; degraded) so other people can take their place instead of just adding another person to the class.

Hope I managed to make some sence out of my thoughts :)
It is all meant as constructive input in this debate, and if somebody interpret it otherwise, I've probably just formulated myself badly, cause that's not my intention at all ;)

You make some good points ther bob however when the exams are over, the vacation periods starts so we dont get anywhere again cause of ppl are on holiday.

At the subject of recruiting more i agree it can be a bad thing however ( i use that word a lot lately) if this attendance keeps up you will loose regular raiders cause the go to a guild where they can raid. Cause showing up for raids that are cancelled isnt funny specially when it happens a lot (like it does lately).

And the trouble with replacing ppl is you get downgraded by gear. This is a hard topic to get a solution to though.

Well id go for either more attendance or more guardians, cause keeping as is isnt really working (we lack 5 odd ppl, or more if its a bad day) my own personal preferance is getting 7 more in, so we can cover for abcences more eazyly and have a small queue all the time to cover for ppl leaving early.

Yes, true - hollidays are also coming up.  But I don't think hollidays will be as much of a problem as exams (but shure, some problems we'll probably have).  People are going away for some time, but not as much in the same time (and for so long time) as with exams.
And also you say; if we don't recruit more people, those who wants to raid alot will quite because lots of raids get cancelled.  Well, if we recruit more people, there's a big risc that we will become overcrowded, and so there will be some people not able to play, and perhaps they will quit to join other guilds where they can raid more often?  Even though this is just a theory, I think it's a good one at least :)

No they don't  :D  :D

This is kinda like a circle.......as I seem not to realize about the attandance problem. If I want to join a BWL the raid is still full. I would love to help RG1 but still have my appointment with RG2 ofc. Maybe the application form can be changed with some additional questions and that way filter out some information. RG3 also acquire 40 people..... same problem again, reqruiting more peeps, RG4 coming...Maybe the problem is that people will not or cannot join RG1 at certain days. To be saved to an instance isn't much of help either. I would love to help RG1 out but as I'm saved to MC I simply cannot join RG1.  If you want to know how many people there will be before you start inviting think about the 20 man raid system we use.  Also to be said I don't think a tier 0 class can't be much of help @ BWL ....

or maybe something like a penalty for not showing up when there's a raid, when you didn't call off the raid with a reason 1 day or 2 days before the raid lets say 20 minus dkp. Officers can see this way who will show up and they can see who are not commiting to their guardian rank  :eyebrow:

Well my exams for sure arnet over yet :P still have 6 left.

But, I think we should recruit ONE more for the problem classes, e.g pally, rogue, lock

Voretex

Maybe i should explain a little bit better, if the worst comes to the worst with 7 raid members for each class, which already has good attendance (druid, had 6 in the raid in sunday) Those people already showing up now will get punished, by possible waiting times in queues.

nevermind the "5/6 a week attendance" there are some people not even doing 2/3, and havent been consistently for the past 2-3 months!
