So i was driving around in Germany the other day and suddenly i come past an area where Kreuz apparantly have a huge impact on their food choice

I could have told you a long time ago that Kreuz means Cross or Crossing in German :P

AFAIK it does just mean cross, as in 'kreuz der straße' means cross the street
and it's pronounced kroytz, to those people who pronounce it crooz :P
