Yesterday I ordered a Sapphire X1900XT 512mb ram graphics card from Scan. I did this after a lot of researching into which companies are rated well for things like customer support, after sales... answering the bloody phone you know stuff like that. I had a bad experience with Overclockers.co.uk who I think suck at customer support and I didn't want the same thing to happen again.

So anyway, yesterday at 11pm I thought I'd order my card by doing things the old fashioned way - yes, I rang them! Imagine my shock when a polite sales staff answered, seemed knowledgable and quickly told me my card was in stock and when it would be delievered ie midday tomorrow. I placed my order and waited... a whole 24 hours as it arrived a few hours ago. Great service!

Fair enought it cost about £15 more than some other places ie Overclockers, savastore etc but personally I'd rather pay a little bit extra and know if it goes up the swanny I should be able to contact Scan and get the problem sorted.

I'm now looking forward to replacing my 7800 GT with this and cranking up detail/resolution and frame rates even higher :dribble:

I buy from scan all the time :) As you say the service seems to be really good, price isn't bad either (sometimes they're cheaper than the others too, depends on the product)

They have a support forum section on the //www.hexus.net forums and once your post count is up to a decent level you can get free p&p (and that's for urgent next day delivery!) which makes tham a better deal than other places a lot of the time :D

I use Scan quite a lot now as well, they've really improved their service over the last year or two!

Why did you replace a 7800GT though?  That's a decent card, I have one!

Your right Barley the 7800 GT is a good card, its just that my father in law wants a new pc building, and wanted the same GC as me, so he's giving me a decent price on it which has allowed me to upgrade to the x1900xt.

Had a quick go in BF2 last night, and had the option of turning up the AA from x4 to x6 (well it would be rude not too ) and I can tell the difference, certainly higher frame rate.

I run BF2 at maximum settings on my 7800GT anyway, never noticed and problems :)
