I finally replaced my 6 year old Nokia with a SE w810i. What a great phone!
I have been unable to keep up with all those functions, since my old phone barely had WAP (maybe that is why I am so taken with this new little wonder). Now, with GPRS (maybe even EDGE later, depending on my provider), Bluetooth, IR, MP4, 3GP and J2ME there are so many possibilities. My question: Do you know of any good J2ME apps?

One thing I would like is a remote control app to control TV's and such, like I have on my good old HP48 calculator. It seems the java instructions does not support this option properly?

So far I have found an ok IM program for MSN (QuickIM), but would like something like Trillian, so I can get my Y! and ICQ contacts on the phone as well. Cheaper than SMS :)

I have also found a nice little program that can work as a compass, based on my position (it uses the world's airports, so it is general), time of day etc. It then outputs the sun's position relative to a compas and I can use that to find my way - I used that on my MTB today (I have a nice 15 x 15 km forest area I drive in a lot and I do get lost a lot trying to find short-cuts) and that is great. Not GPS, but still ok for me :)

Also GoogleMaps on the phone in combination with some danish driving direction apps are nice to have when you are travelling.

I've been trawling the net and I figured J2ME apps should be in abundance, but they are not and the majority of those there are, sucks...

Finally, the Opera Mini browser is cool and way better than the built-in XHTML browser, or whatever the acronym is. So many of 'em! :)
