Loot, class priority, common sence.

The last times we are telling ppl to use common sence since we dont want to use priority too much. now lately we been getting a lot of prioritys set, and i am not saying its bad, but last nite we had a circle of applied force drop and it seamd to a lot of ppl that class priority and common sence dont have to apply to officers. Now i know Vargen wanted that ring for a while, but when we denie a lot of other ppl items they could use, but maybe not as good. It got a lot harder to explain last nite. And i must say i cant exectly blaim ppl for getting upset.
 
I mean, if vargen gets that ring (which is best for hunter/rogue) then why not give opti that mald sword, or voretex that claw of the drake, ?
 
Now, nothing against vargen, but this could get us into trouble explaining stuff later on.
 
Edit, got asked if we use class prio, or dkp rules all, or common sense @ random depending on wind, rain, or temperature. This is not something id stand for, we need 1 line, and stick with it.

Vargen is a snarling feral beast, used to be one of my top healers. As he is feral I look on him as a rouge. A rouge wit no pri on loot that he wants.
He vold have passed on the ring if the rouge that vould have von it was not ok with him taking it.

The swrd that was denied Opti is werry good for fury warriors, as good for fury warriors as for swordspec rouges.But we priorities rouges for some reason.

And the edit ansver  vould be yes, and you have stod for it in the past . What has changed? Did the wind, rain, or temperature change where you are? (no need to ansver since I know it has been hott latley).
I vould like to see Vargen morph backinto my healer but he is a crappy cat/rouge treat him like one.

I see what you're saying Bastet, and I agree to some extent. If someone has a problem with it, they have a problem with my decisions as Master Looter. It is not an easy position to be in and many desicions have to be made quick and just. You getting a hard time about it, please redirect them to me. I will admit that my mood on thursday had a great deal to do with why I decided to take the ring. It is a ring I have really wanted, and I know how good it is. I was top DKP with Menedil as closest competitor 1000 DKP behind. Even so I asked Menedil about it as I know he wants it as well and it is a somewhat rare drop. His reply was "If you are top DKP and you want it, you deserve it".
 
Lately a lot of people have expressed concern about loot and priority. Some have even gone to abuse against fellow guildies.
Maybe we should just put it down to a "one liner", and make it final.
 
1. DKP is DKP, FINAL
or
2. No concern to class need or upgrade value considered. DKP rules. Officer discression may be used.
or
3. Set spesific roles for classes and prioritize loot accordingly. Anything outside a class role set in raid is FFA.
EX; Warrior = Tank, Druid = Healer, Paladin = Healer. Priest = Healer

Real easy to use. And wil remove dkp from the top since we can then spend it on useless stuff that others realy wants but we take just cause we can (for a limeted amount of time).
