Like the title says :) but before that im in need of a computer for uni so what you you guys recomend for 800squids tops. will be doing quite a bit of CAD stuff so graphics need to be pretty good. and obviously 4 playing games 2 :)

800 not including the monitor?

£140 for conroe E6300
£100-£150 for the motherboard (maybe cheaper if you look around)
£125 for 2Gb of decent enough ram
£200 for graphics (7900GT or 1900xt I guess)
leaves you about £250 for case, psu, hdd, dvd

Alternatively, bearing in mind that most of the heavy games seem to be gpu limited with just about any recent cpu then the AM2 X2 chips and motherboards are very good value at the moment, though not as fast as conroe. The motherboards are definitely cheaper. In a month or two there should be a better selection of ram and motherboards for conroe...?

£65 for an X2 3800+ or a 3700+ single core
£80 for a nice enough motherboard
leaves you more to spend on graphics, but you lose out on raw processing power...
