CS:S - Changed

Well, for various reasons I found my way back onto the -=[dMw]=- Boomer CS:S server over the last few days and had a pleasant surprise - CS:S is now actually pretty good. Last time I played CS:S was not long after launch and sucked big donkey balls whereas it's now very good indeed.

My thanks to Bastet and Clawhammer from SOG who also joined me on the server for some fun, along with a few regs too - Toxteth, Blunt, Blueball etc....... now all I need to do is remember how to aim and where i left my buyscript :norty:

The other thing that impressed me was that they have clearly started to get a handle on the netcode which int he early days seemed really dodgy - I was pinging a beautiful 11ms in-game to the server, no choke, no loss and only my bad aim to blame for misses.

Result! Might be playing it a bit more now that it has actually become a real good game!

That was a good nights gaming. It's amazing how much time I spend watching the scenery and affects :blink:. Being able to shoot away someones cover or throw a grenade so that they get hit by a flying filing cabinet adds another dimension to the game :biggrin:
