o bugger!

this is what happend [are u all sitting comfortably????]

yesterday, was sorting out my pc and downloading things like HLSW, kazza, maps etc.

everythink was working fine.

my little sister uses computer during the day [she was off school with some illness] and when i come back i can get NO sound through my computer!!!!!

no music no in game sounds nothing. its not hte headset as i have tryed other speekers / headsets and nothing, when u turn hte volume up u get the sort of static sound like when u turn volume up and its not playing anythink normally.

wtf can b wrong. i didnt change anythink at all with the setup

I think you need to be interogating your little sister to find out what she did. Don't accept the standard answer it wasn't me it just happened. Other than that remove and reinstall your sound card in device manager and hopefully that should restore your sound.

found out what she did, she had gone in to device manager and checked the box that says "mute all devices" !!!!!!

now my only problem is that my jump key and my walk key WONT bind,

i have tryed both through the controls menue in CS and by binding them from the console. booger.

Did you make your config.cfg file read only? As advised somewhere else in this forum. A thought is all.

Are your confic.cfg write protected? Do it manually with notepad.

i fixed the jump but not the walk, i was forgeting to put the + infront of jump when in console.
walk still doesnt want to be bound

Just how exactly are you trying to bind walk?  I assume you know the console command for walk is +speed, wierd i know.
