As things are atm, we don't have room for any of this applicants, so we will have to decline them all.

Sazgul

Im temptet to say Juling has failed in proving he was worth our trust - he attended ½ of 4(or is it 5) raids. Thats just soooooooo wrong. I hoped this guys would show to be usefull, but hey he's never around.

Maybe we should soon start to look at a new potinetial MT2. Daracian / Dantorn?

And regards to the others, those positions are filled atm.

Padding

Sorry to interupt, but if you are considering a new tank please try out Daracian and see if you can use him. Certainly a really nice guy and has excellent Fire Resistance gear

Ubar

atm we don't need rogue and pala so i think decline first two;

about Dantorn, he is a good tank and very good geared( 7/8 might, and 264 fire rez) for rg2, if Juling has failed as sazgul said, i think he can be our new tank:smile:( he knows also many members of rg2)

Siffredi

As for Juling i just spoke with him today, and i would suggest to give him some slack because he wants to raid with us and keep up full attendence. He just startet school and have summercamp with new class or something, but he want to attend. So cut him a bit more slack

Nefrion

There is a difference between wanting to attend and be able to attend.

INdeed there is, but he informed me that he should be able to attend fully, also see this thread: http://www.deadmen.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=15763

I could be tempted to say that if he doesnt attend tonight's raid we should give Daracian a trial-run!

can i  do a question? who is this Dracian? i can see only Dantorn application on the applicants. is he a soldier?

Sazgul

When Juling got pick as RG2 member it was a choice between him and Daracian. We picked Juling.

And 100% agree Nefrion, there a difference between wanting to and beeing able to. And i must say again, Im VERY dissapointet about Juling.
I had a chat with him yesterday and he said it wa 100% sure he could attend Monday, and like 99% sure he was here thursday. Im hoping for his sake he will do as he promised me. - Otherwise it will make him look even worse imo.

Lets cut him a bit slack - question remains; Dantorn, shall we keep him on hold or shall we say theres no room in RG2 atm. If Juling fails Daracian will prolly be next in line.

[edit] Dantorn is declined I see :)

Greatdanes

I agree with Nefrion and Sazgul on Juling and hopefull he will be there tonight and next time and next time and ect.

But it is a periode where people starts new thing up and I think we will have to give him a chance to improve.

Nefrion

Let's give him tonight and Thursday to prove himself that he can hold a steady attendance. We also need to take into consideration that the place he was brought in to fill out is a very important place. Its not that easy to replace MT2 as it is to replace a random rogue for a few raids.

Im not 100% sure I can attend tonight's raid. I have been on a business trip for the last week so that would make it three raids in a row that im skipping. Im trying to see if I can get it fixed to I can attend tonight. Sorry guys.

As an aside (and slightly-off-topic I know) I would like to add that your tanks (and I mean MT1 - MT4, not just MT1 & 2) are the most difficult to replace.  If RG1 is missing any one of MT1 or MT2 or MT3 or MT4 then RG1's performance drop-off is noticeable.  We are far more likely to wipe, lose aggro or mis-time a taunt rotation to avoid debuffs etc if we miss are missing a tank from our top 4 spots.  Last week we missed MT3 and we could not clear BWL (we failed at Nefarian).  Last night we had MT1-4 and we cleared BWL in less than 3 hours with no wipes, clearing every boss on first pull.

So I would recommend Marshalls work to maintain a stable top 4 tank order, not just the MT1 & MT2 that you rightly identified as important.  As you progress in BWL (and progress you will in a very short space of time) the stability of these positions is absolutely essential as the role of the tanks moves from Molten Core mode ("just hit it") to something a lot more technical: taunt rotations, specialised off-tanking, affliction tanking, critical positioning (eg the three drakes in particular) etc.

Tanks have it boring in MC, but their role and importance in BWL becomes much more involved and technical - they are the backbone of any raid group so work to make sure you have a stable and 100% attedance MT1-MT4.  If you have those four slots locked down nice and tight then your raid group will rock.

Agreed TL.

With this in mind we should pick our tanks with care. We shouldnt just check if they have right gear but also what they do for a living.

Our next tank should probably not be a 14yr old kid who has exams, a lot of school trips + soccer practice twice a week. I know this might sound kindda harsh that you cant be MT1-4 in RG2 if you have too much social life but well. As TL said, it is a very crucial part of the raid so we need to pick people with great care.
