Difference might be that the ppl God killed came to heaven, the rest who didnt make it would be claimed by satan sooner or later. Satan killed 10 according to the bible, they are swimming in fire as we speak. So if you look at a God vs. Satan graph that illustrates how many ppl that went to a "better" place after killed, Satan has 0% but God sure has to have more than 0%.
 
Oh, and mind you, I dont believe in this. But for ppl that needs something to believe in, you wont get a better deal than religion. This is scientificaly proved bu that you have to "invent" religion in Civ? (or am I completely wrong?)

He killed those before giving men the ten comandments. And if God murders, surely it is for the best for us. Think about it, if we let God do all the murdering, noone would be harmed by man with murderous intention. And God let his son die instead uf us humans as in he let his son take the burden of being punished for our sins. Our sins that was done before the crusifiction and forever after.
 
come to think of it, western civilisation cherishes and praises violence and murder, sad really. Just think about the movies, it does not cover it all by far, but think about our "heroes" and what they do. It is just killing and killing. So I guess I`m not the right person to judge these things other than to disaprove of them. It is a grotesque phun this.
