Paladins can tank just fine in all instances, biggest problem is that we dont have the proper tanking gear, and dont get heals since people dont see us as tanks. Thats why i die every week at the Razorgore fight. I could tank that easily, if people spammed me heals. I certainly has the aggro, as he is seriously ****ed with me after i MC him for 10 minutes :narnar:
 
Bottomline is that Paladins can tank - surely not as well as a warrior - but actually a lot better than people think

yesterday seco was using blessing of sacrifice on me, thats 55dam less per hit on me, and he takes that dam instead. and he didnt get healed untill i started shouting around in the raid chat..

This is very true gorion, i did the same to Dajo and i shouted out for heals one TS and i got more then enough ( new chance lol now i know how lucian feels )
 
but paladins can tank, with duk i have tanked scholo / strat a couple of time and its good fun actualy
 
i even managed to get the agro of dajo in full dps mode on the cannonball boss in scarlet side

Regarding Pala tanking we are gonna off-tank with expansion anyways but without deep protection talent tree(holy shield+imp righteous Fury), I prefer druid tanks in 40 man raids. (cheaper solution after i saw optical's bill)
 
On the oher hand, Padding can tank Razorgore easly he dont needs generate agro after that orb control anyways

Well imo, Pallies should use sacrifice more often :tongue: Great way to deal with loads of damage.
As for tanking razorgore, even I tanked him after controlling the orb. In healing kit though, so it got a bit "interesting" :eyebrow:
I allways try to get some healing on Paddding when he "tanks" Razor, but I think I am alone on that one :tongue:

for after the 30%
the reason why is easy to explain

at 30% all 15 closest attackers get the 700dmg each 3 seconds
prayer of healing rank2 heals for that ammount
so i think if the closest 15 dont die...
the people in the back dont need to be afraid they are next on huhurans list.

NOTE if iam wrong
 the whole raid get at 30% 700dmg each 3 secs or just the closest 15 ?

Melee and ranged DPS will be given the go when all tanks have gained some aggro. It is important for non-tanks to not gain aggro and for this reason all raid members must be using KTM threat meter for this encounter.

15 people need high NR for when she rages at 30%. These 15 must be close-ish to her. She will chuck poison volleys at them repeatedly.

Prayer of healing is only really useable on vael fight due to fairly long cast and MASSIVE mana cost, it will drain a priests pool in a few casts. Also there was a problem with the hunters, and the choise was made that the added NR was worth more. We will do again and better next time :smile:

What we did last try, was that we had (roughly) 3-4 healers dedicated to each of the for "high NR" groups.  The problem if you rely on one priest in each of those groups doing AoE heals, is that if said priest dies you might be in a lot of trouble. (And you also have the mana problem Bastet mentioned.)
With 3-4 healers for each group, all of the NR groups should have more than enough healing, and there is also a good posilbility to make it even if one or two of a groups dedicated healers die.


If we just get a few more successfull tries, I assume all the healers will get a bit more confident with the fight, and we won't be so close to a whipe that we was last time :smile:

fasted heal for healing 1 person is 1.5sec let me say if priest are using that each time for multiply healing each person they need more mana ?

What I said, was that 3-4 healers got assigned to each of the 4 high NR groups, meaning 3-4 healers cover 5 people, which should be more than enough :smile:
