Molten Core - Speed Run Record Attempt

dMw's Silver Oak Guardians are planning a 40 person raid to Molten Core on Sunday 29th October to create a Guild record for clearing the instance.  A lot of preparation is underway to collect various potions, elixirs and other items to increase health/strength/mana/damage etc, but we thought it might be nice to set out the provisional raid timeline that has been drawn up for this record attempt.

The planned schedule is to say the least very ambitious.  Our previous best (by SOG's Raid Group 1) was 2 hours 36 minutes.  However we're looking to shave a considerable amount off this time and really set a benchmark - and probably an EU Aszune server record.

00 hr 13 min 30 sec - Pull Lucifron
00 hr 17 min 30 sec - Pull Magmadar
00 hr 27 min 00 sec - Pull Gehennas
00 hr 37 min 00 sec - Pull Garr
00 hr 50 min 00 sec - Pull Baron Geddon
00 hr 57 min 00 sec - Pull Shazzrah
01 hr 19 min 00 sec - Pull Sulfuron Harbinger
01 hr 27 min 00 sec - Pull Golemagg
01 hr 33 min 00 sec - Pull Majordomo Executus
01 hr 43 min 00 sec - Pull Ragnaros
01 hr 45 min 00 sec - Finish

TARGET CLEARANCE TIME:  1 hr 45 mins

We'll let you know how we got on in a week's time!

dMw's Silver Oak Guardians are proud to announce that tonight they completed a FULL clearance of Molten Core in

1 hour 24 minutes 46 seconds

This is a new Aszune server record.


The Field Marshalls are now considering an attempt on the World Record, which currently stands at 1 hour 10 minutes.
