In game mail - New members

I was thinking about sending an ingame mail to each new joining RG2 member. So we are 100% sure they recieve the basic information, which are a need to know.

Tuesday+Thursday invites @ 19:15
 
Attendance.
We require defenders(you) to raid 4/6 raids.
 
Forums.
Check forums at least every 2nd day. Theres a lot of important / good information there, which is NEED to read for raid members.

A good idea, but I would simplify the time - putting both 19:00 and 19:15 in the same sentence is confusing - drop the 19:00 so it is clear when invites actually are issued.

Just a thought.  When you invite someone then we end them a mail anyway.  Can I suggest you send yours once they are in Guild?

If it did, could we add something to it, so if it is a hunter who is joining tell him what add-on we expect he have install, like a tranq shot addon and stuff like that.
 
Maybe we could tell them what pots we like they turn up with for raiding ect. ect.
 
Maybe let the class leader sent them out so they in that way could introduce themself to the new members.

I misread this initially.  We have been sending our in game mails as per my post for some months.  No idea whether you have started yours or not.  It is porbably something that should be the same across the Guild though.

First of all please join /SoGhunters ingame, there you will find the other hunters in SoG.
 
Add-ons we are using:
CT-raid assist
Simpletranqshot

ect.
(please install this if you don't have this already)
 
Raiddays.
Tuesday+Thursday invites @ 19:15

Major Healing pots (5)
Heavy Runecloth Bandages (20)
Night Dragons Breath (10)
Whipper Root Tuber (10)
Demonic Rune (5)
Major Mana pots (5)
Major Troll's Blood (5)
Elixir of the Mongoose (5)
Acqual Quintessence (1) MC only
Fire Protection pot (5) BWL only (for the Vaelstrasz the Corrupt fight)
 
The guild will supply you with Greater Fire Protection pot (2) for the Ragnaros fight in MC(will be handed out just before that fight)

The one I suggested was meant to poke ppl to look at forums, since new members sometimes find it hard to move their lazy ass into the forums to get information.

Yea - but try and look the poll DA have made, about 20 people have not reacted yet - that is 35% of the raid group(over 1/3) who don't read forums regular, no wonder why people don't know what we are doing sometimes. And that 1/3 is not just new members.

My suggestion was to inform the new ones with some basic information and at we do expect something of them

But can I get permission to test it on the new hunters?
