This guy has indeed good gear, if we still need a mage i would say give him a chance..

Well if he want a succesful raid group in BWL and beyond he shouldnt be looking at RG2. Sorry to say but his ambitions are too high imo.
We should maybe have a chat with him and explain him the situation in RG2 before inviting him. Sounds like he doesnt really know where RG2 is.
