Equipment being brought to the LAN

Please post here if you intend to bring any hardware, cabling etc to help the LAN. This should provide a definitive list of what is arriving.

Please restrict your post to what you are bringing. Any unnecessary posts will just be deleted - but try to save us the trouble eh?

If needed the following can be brought along:

- 19" monitor
- 15" TFT monitor
- Full PC (XP1800+ spec plus keyboard, mouse etc)

Shuttle XP2200+ and gubbins
17" Mitsubishi monitor if needed
Fraid dont have network gear so thats upta the boffins

can provide cables and switches. At present 2 2924's
How many cables would we need, what lengths and I'll see what I can do.

Right, Seems Gandy is the premier cable guy so if anyone brings any cables just bring a "few just in case" spec not to much of an issue, a few meters.

yeah, if peeps bring a few cables if they have them you may be mostly let off the hook gandy. However your having the bits to make some to spec should we be shy of a few cables will ensure everyone will be netted up.

I have about 10 5m cables that i'll be bringing, am still working on a switch but it should be no problem.

i have about 10 x 10 metre cat5

if i have'nt already mentioned it

please make sure everybody has a good quality, surge protected 4 way power adapter. better safe than sorry cos if it blows up i will not be paying for it. !!

Besides my own comp I can bring my laptop which has CS Mod installed. Just in case..

:oops: :oops: OK.. This is my first LAN but I want to know if I bring speakers or go out and buy some headphones? Also, do we need Mic's or can I just shout out my usual obscenities as I go along..

Headphones is good but headset is recommended.
