Having steam props

Im having some small issues lately..
 
1. Once in while my steam decides to dump me my list of games that has been Activated... sometimes that can be fiksed my just restarting steam, other time it requires a reinstall of steam :S
Which i really dont hope i will need to again, cause was trying to install my game on another comp the other day (normal comp was getting a low lvl format and some new parts) and when prompted to type key is was apperently invalid ? :S but game still works on normal comp
 
2. Ive had to install a older version of steam cause if was getting a error saying something like: Unable to find application dll launch files... :S

Tried a system restore before you re-install?
