Marduk

As most of you are aware, the 41 point talent trees are about to be released.
and i was wondering what effect this might have on the raids, as the paladin forums harldy get read, and this does concern everybody who likes to keep BOK in the raids this is the right forum to post in.

as some might know, i have been trying to get more dps outside raids for a while, becos marduk is just boring to play most of the time, taking over 3 to 4 times as long to kill the same mob as a equal geared rogue will
now i could easely sort this problem by taking my 25holy/13protection/13retribution spec and make it 31/0/20 dropping blessing of kings and taking on more strength and holy shock in holy tree and more other +dmg in retribution but i wont bore you with those facts

now with the upcomming chances, i could go for the folling spec click here
this would enable me to use +spell dmg to make up for lost melee dmg and keep blessing of kings, however, i dont have a lot of +spelldmg items

so if i would do this, other users of +spell dmg would have to share the lok amir mace beeing one of them

so what do you guys think?

PS: if any other paladin who has close to 100% attendance was planing to take up the protection tree read this, please speak up now
PS two: this new spec would also increase my +healing by about 130-140 and give me 4 more healcrit so you get a better healer out of the deal to

Nah the whole idea of rolling a pally is so that you can watch naughty adult movies alt-tabbed while the pally is killing mobs and lvling :flirty:

i think it looks nice marduk. But you sould just try it. and get the gear for it if you like it. and if you dont... wel respec to somting more to your liking.... your still the only one that pays for marduk. so you sould not play a "boring" role:rolleyes:

BoK is the best buff in game for sure even Blizzard implement Paladins in horde side bcs of their PvE buffs. It was more handy getting it while under Ret. tree instead of Protection which lets us chunk 10 points to get BoK now. So Protection tree maybe become more useful with the more points we spend instead of 10 point in order to get only BoK! I said maybe bcs i dunno what new instances gonna look like with the decreased raid players. Its time to talk about our roles in raids so we can spec related 1 tree and master under that.
I have never experienced Protection really and honestly i m not fancy investing points but dont want to be selfish either to force other ppl even after investing on items on the other way around.

As u know i couldnt try any of the builds but still make some solid builds on the first sight!

Marduk, its your character, your game. first and foremost! your need to have a good time. specc the way you'd like to play. if that by chance helps the raid, then great :D if not. well. some paladins arent specced to help the raid maximum anyways. but still they help alot, one of the reasons i think might be the aspect of paladins actually having a good time, even off raids.

And thats what i think makes a better player and gives a better raid. at least this goes for paladins.

Besides mate. your intire Tier 2 is with spelldamage... ad im crying when i see it :) go ahead take the specc you like the most mate. i think you deserve it!

Im currently looking for that golden build, that wont make me suck at dmg dealing. I'd like a build that benefits dmg and healing.

Think the build looks exiting, and im looking forward to the next patch with those Talent updates. It's time to try different things.

I'll keep tuned on this post for further builds :)

hey, that looks really like a shaman but without the totem and with bubble!

think this was the way pallys where meant btw, not to be healing bots in plate.

apparently you guys are not aware of the amount of nagging that goes on when there is no BOK, last raid when i left to make place for spiritus on nef fight i got 5 different people whisper me about bok, including an officer

enjoy the game yes, but is it enjoyable to get nagged about that one blessing ? i dont think so no

Padding

Have to say im a bit torn about it

One the one hand, im a firm believer that the "right" specc can push the raids further along faster, but on the other hand i can understand that people want to make their own specc and play the class they want

Basically... if the raid goes on, and we down the bosses... i dont care, but if our healing suffer, then its bad

As a comparison. Before the patch: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=7917347601737957235 :roflmao: .

Pally DPS certainly has improved. But also their ability to tank. Prot pallies and feral druids have become the 5 man tanks of choice, because they're very effective at handling multiple mobs. Pallies even more then druids in this aspect, since they plain rock at multi-target aggro. Pally tanking is still on a timer, but because of the +mana/healing skill you will receive in TBC, this probably won't be a problem anymore in most situations. On the other hand I don't know how pallies compare in terms of damage reduction / avoidance; I'm assuming you need +damage gear for aggro generation, which doesn't have much tanking stats (save for armor) . Prot warriors (naturally) still remain the king of the end game dungeons though.

I just wanted to mention this, since pallies where meant to be 'holy tanks' or 'warriors of the light'. It looks like it's slowly moving in the right direction  . Just like druids....

Anyway, I'll leave the spec discussion to you guys, since my pally isn't lvl 60 yet and can't comment on pally end game stuff and such.

Marduk

well i would like to see some specs the rest of you pallies were thinking about
