2.0 Patch going live tomorrow?

According to a freind of mine, the wow downloader downloaded a big patch called 2.0 somthing yesterday. Is there anyone that can confirm that the new patch is comming this week?

I have no clue if the patch will go live tomorrow but I confirm that the downloader was working on a patch called WoW-1.12.x-to-2.0.1-enGB-patch.

Personally I would hope for another week before the next patch comes, cause on Sunday I got Threb transfered to the PTR, and I haven't had much time to play around with the new talent trees yet.  Was hoping to get to do that a bit during the coming weekend.

It's been on the testservers for 1 week and with a patch this size, it will take more time to reveal all the bugs / errors etc.
The reason why you get the downloader now is because of it's size (I've heard rumors about 500mb)

There is one thing that you have to keep in mind: this patch is not only tested in PTR but also on Beta Servers so it might be possible that the testing time will be a bit shorter than normal.

EDIT: just found this in the European Boards

Players accessing the game through the World of Warcraft Launcher will receive a patch for our launcher and downloader tools. This patch brings the launcher and downloader tools up to date in preparation for background downloading the 2.0.1 patch data.

If you do not use the launcher to access the game you will not be able to use the background downloader and will instead receive the tools update the next time you receive a game patch. It’s necessary to use the launcher in order to receive the tools update and background download patch data.

You may notice that the background downloader is downloading very slowly or that the percentage downloaded is not moving. This is the intended functionality of the background downloader as it is meant to run for extended lengths of time at a slow speed so as not to impact performance.

We do not currently have a tools update for Mac users but we will have one available shortly.

It's coming next week or (probably) the week after that. I sure hope they'll also add the recent beta changes, since they contain some more feral love :norty: .
 
And don't worry about the 500MB download. I was leeching the PTR patch at 800KB/s with the Blizzard downloader, which is pretty impressive. And besides, mirrors usually come up pretty quickly. Personally I'm not using that crappy background thingy anymore, it's hardly downloading anything; it's nothing but an annoyance :sideways: .
