I wonder if I should buy it. I play the demo occasionally, but wil buy it only if enough dmws have it.
So, have you bought/installed it? :g:

Doorman

No and I won't either. I've got so many of these BF titles, unused, unloved, on my shelf I'm not adding to them. :sideways:

I'm thinking about buying but I'm still not sure.
I'm still ocasionally playing BF2 but lately I'm a bit hooked on Oblivion and Source.
Knowing myself: I'll probably buy it.

I am not giving more of my hard earned cash to gits who don't give a damn about their users and just try to rip us off.

What I mean to say is NO I won't be buying it (well not until Doggers installs Windows 2003 server anyway :) )

I won it, but I would've bought it anyway. There are only a few worthwhile servers to play on really though, TG and some clan caled SSS. Both servers have rules (as you'd expect from TG), and the SSS clan server tries pretty hard to get people playing as a team too.

Could you give me their IPs, so I could measure my ping to those servers?

Good stuff, BTW, remember, the guys from OBC might be interesting for us aswell.
Hopefully Dewey or so will add their serverIP's!

I am pretty much against buying this new variant. The advertising issue is a disgrace and i agree with both BB's and Doorman's comments. It's more like a patch than a new games and plus theres still bugs etc which have not and will never get sorted out it seems.

I'm never going to buy a EA(ex-dice) game ever again. I bought BF2 with 1942 and Vietnam fresh in my memory and all those good moments I had with those and their brethren mods. Like Forgotten Hope.

When they announced 2142 they shifted focus from fixing all the glitches in BF2 and has for ever lost me as a player. Not to mention all those patches that ****ed up the gameplay even worse. The Horrendous Special Forces addon also which I also bought stupidly enough.. I'm glad I didnt buy the booster packs to further kill my joy over the Battlefield series..

So i'm gonna hurt EA badly with the only thing possible, My wallet. I'm handing my cash to Blizzard instead.

Good thing Blizzard has sutch a nice and buggfre servers , with no lagg, and don't ask you to keep on paying after you bought the game.

I enjoy BF2142. They added team sucsses points that make it more efective to play as a squad if you want to rank upp. The game seems more balanced then BF2 (that I allso enjoy playing , tho not so activley lately).

lionheart
