AQ40 Vs Bwl

Hi all,

Just seeking some clarification really.

Last night we were told that on Tues 28/11/06 we would be carrying on with C'Thun attempts (Numbers permitting).

This means that this week there will be no Bwl clearance.

Clarification required is how long is this going to go on for, if its a total 1 off then ok (not 100% happy but ok i'll take 1 for the team no problem)

however if this is gonna be a regular thing then please say now.

I'm sure im not alone in being short on some Bwl items (most notably Robes of Trans) and since January last year i have been attending, wipe night or not in a bid to get them, and to be in with a chance of getting them i need to be part of the crew that clears Bwl once a week and if we dont go there once a week.... you see where this is going now !

Bearing in mind that we have other people who are on the scepter line Q and need Vaels mission and Nefarion dead to continue it and also the fact that it takes little over 2 hours of our 14 hr raiding week and finally its where the Elementium drops for the AQ40 meagquest we got to last night
It seems that it is still enough of a must do...Every week.

Full raid at 19.15, everyone is outside the AQ instance.
Start the first shots at C'thun at 19.25, if we go on for say 9-10 shots to get things going and see how stuff works etc this should take around a couple of hours, time is then 21.25.

Portal to IF, get yer asses down to BWL and start at 21.35
clear in a couple of hours which we are capable of doing and we'r finished before 00.00

This is just my example of how we could do it, but it all depends on the rest of the raidgroup to show up IN TIME ! x)

Sounds like a plan Jorgen... but TL stated tuesdays raid target is to get C'Thun to phase 2.

Personally i'd take AQ40 over BWL anytime, but my judgement (doh) is clouded since i have most items from BWL. I recognise that many still lack good equipment from BWL, and thats why its important

IF we are to do BWL this week, then i'd rather do it BEFORE AQ40 as a speedrun. Shouldnt take us more than 1,5hours if we really hurry, and then work the rest of the night on C'Thun

Ok, some clarification: We are not stopping BWL. We're not going to do BWL forever, but given the need for Ore and the continuing need for drops we will keep doing it.

However we have our first and gold-plated opportunity to try C'Thun before the reset - an opportunity which we have not always had on recent progression raids. The stated goal for RG1 is to get C'Thun down before the end of 2006 - we do not have long to do this. So if you want to go back to BWL then don't turn up, because we'll not being doing C'Thun if we do not have a full raid group. :wink:

If we spend the first 8 tries wiping inside 60 seconds and making no progress on C'Thun then we're likely to be doing BWL sooner rather than later. On the other hand if we make staggering progress and look like killing C'Thun then I am sure all of us would want to carry on and forfeit a night of BWL pleasure. As has been said above, it does not take long to clear BWL (particularly if we are potted up) so we can always move there later in the evening to to do it. We will play it by ear and see how we do.

Be early for the raid, let's start on time and get as much done as we can; that way everyone will be happy.

Is it so that the C'thun trash does not respawn since we killed them? Or will we hafto take care of those 16 trash mobs again?

Somebody last night said that they dont respawn, but im far from sure though.... i hope so *cross fingers*

The C'Thun trash does not respawn once you are through to the NPCs.

The way to C'Thun is therefore a portal to the Twins room and a short ride on your mount to C'Thun. I know this to be true as I just went their and pulled C'Thun. He won. :angry:

Yeah have to state here too. Dont have a problem with a progress night in AQ40, but no way I want to stop BWL as I still miss alot there my self.

I do know the ppl that has been longest in the guild do have all the items they want from BWL, but there are still alot needing stuff there.
