What is expected of an RG1 member?
a. That each member carry a sufficient supply of reagents for the raid
b. Sufficient supply of major mana pots, major healing pots and bandages
c. Punctual attendance - being at the instance entrance before invites go out
d. Each member should pot up for each 'progression' raid.
e. Advance notice (where reasonable) of planned absence through posting in the forum Absence threads.
f. Regular monitoring of the Guild's forum for news & information.

What's a progression raid?
It's a raid where we are still working on the instance. For RG1 this means an AQ40 or Naxxramas raid (MC/OL/BWL are on farm and are not considered progression raids).

What is potting up?
It means having the extra potions, elixirs, flasks, sharpening stones, special drinks & special food needed to help take the raid to the next level and defeat both new bosses and those we are still getting under control. Examples of what we consider potting up items are:

Flasks of Distilled Wisdom/Supreme Power
Brilliant Mana/Wizard Oil
Night Dragons Breath
Whipper Root Tuber
Demonic Runes
Major Troll's Blood
Elixir of the Mongoose/Greater Agility
Limited Invulnerability pots
Greater Arcane Elixir
Mageblood potions
Nightfin Soup
Winterfall firewater
Elixir of Giants or Elixir of Brute Force
Elemental Sharpening Stones
Elixir of Greater Shadow Power
Greater Stoneshield pots
Gift of Arthas pots

You do not need all of these, but think about your class and where your performance would benefit from the extra punch. Then gather those items and aim to attend each progression raid with those items in your bags! When we are learning a new fight we do not expect members to 'pot up', but once we get a boss fight down to 60-65% then potting up is generally accepted as being worthwhile from that point onwards.

The Guild currently provides some Greater Nature Protection, Greater Arcane Protection, Greater Shadow Protection to members where needed and aims to continue this practice, but having your own personal stack will speed the raid up no end and provide you with more than one pot per try!

We will try to help members plan by announcing the raid target for the following raid at the end of the current raid. This will allow members to plan, farm for pots or materials and prepare properly for the raid.

The Field Marshalls expect everyone who attends progression raids to be properly prepared. If we all prepare properly then we will make better and faster progress. Please do your best to prepare for each progression raid and to attend all raids with at the very least the required basics in your bags. Remember: PPPPPP.

Might not be anything new to most mages, but it will be to a lot of people, not just the potting up but the other points listed at the start too!  I currently carry these to every raid:

Flasks of Supreme Power
Brilliant Wizard Oil
Night Dragons Breath
Whipper Root Tuber
Demonic Runes
Major Troll's Blood
Limited Invulnerability pots
Greater Arcane Elixir
Mageblood potions
Nightfin Soup

I use most all the time at every raid and I add a flask when we take a boss to 65% or when we want to clear an instance real quick.

If we all start carrying a decent a mount of pots etc and are there on time, make everyone aware of planned absences etc then we will start to make very rapid progress in RG1!  :yahoo:

Might i just add:

[item]Sagefish Delight[/item] gives only 6 mana per 5 sec. compared to [item]Nightfin Soup[/item] that grants 8 per sec. but the sagefish one lasts 15 mins compared to nightfin which is only 10 mins. and thats very handy for certain fights, even though the amount is a bit less.

I know that is off-topic but there is no way to change the colour of thoes items? White on white is not easy to read :g:

Itemstats pushes the colour through, nothing you can do about it.
