Right, I'm a wee bitpissed off at the moment   :x  because we have just had out first ever match conflict entered by Bo1ng.  Why?  I hear you ask.

Because one of our players did not register their bloody WONID with CB and the SL (me) made the ridiculous assumption that all players would have their WONID registered if they were showing up for CB games.  

I am going to bang my stupid head against a big thick wall now.  Dark Angel, you should go register your WONID as I have previously asked you......and then keep a low profile until my fug has blown over.......

I just noticed that whilst I was composing my detailed reply to Bo1nG on the CB website, they played there third ever CB match.  Their record so far is:

Match 1:  Match conflict.
Match 2:  Us - match conflict
and tonight's Match 3 is (guess what?):  Another Match Conflict.

One could be considered unlucky, Two careless, but Three?  8O

Yes I was going to mention this. If they keep f**king arond throw that in their faces. We have screenshots of it.
If they accept the match result we can drop the that. Prid pro quo.

Substitution is allowed, but we went above and beyond the call of duty by pausing the match - we do not have to pause under the CB rules.

As I am not sure what everyone else is able to see or not see on the CB website, I thought everyone should know what has been said so far in the conflict, so I will be pasting down replies as they come in.  It seems a bloody slow process thus far.  The complaint was lodged by their CL Sgt. Bilko (the chap who substituted himself into the match and then got the majority of their kills).  The substitution was made because one of their peeps was lagging badly - I know this as I was watching their teamspeak in the server logs at the time.

Hmmmmm, 2nd match in CB and same problem strikes again, dMw requested WONid`s required in challenge, and yet had player without WONid entered. We have screenshots, showing challenge from dMw stating WONid`s required, dMw team list on cb showing DarkAngel had no WONid entered and a screenshot showing status in game of DarkAngel playing match. Is a shame considering they challenged us, and requested WONid`s be entered.

It is with great sadness that I read tonight that dMw has had its first ever match conflict registered by Bo!nG.

Larrr, I'm sorry that you have had problems with your first game in CB, however I am sure that you are not implying anything sinister about your match against us. If you read our feedback either on CB or on ED, you will know that we are not one of the clans that peeps ever have problems with. We play for fun, not for No.1 status. I think that you and some of your peeps probably know that.

We have had matches ourselves where peeps have not had there WONIDs registered but have not bothered challenging any because we knew we had been in a fair game. We prefer to win matches through honest play, not technicalities. Honest play was what we thought we both provided and received last night on the server. Reports from the team were of friendly players and good fun. I think you know you were in a fair game but am truly sorry if you feel differently.

It is therefore a shame that (a) we didn't spot that DarkAngel's WONID is not on CB yet and (B) you did not raise the issue at the start or during the match. We could have swapped him for somebody else if needed, just as you swapped one of your players out and we agreed to the match being paused. For the former, I apologise, but personally, when I have had a good fair game I do not bother checking WONIDs of the opponent, but then that's just me.

DarkAngel has been a member of dMw for some time now. You can check our website //www.deadmen.co.uk and forums forum.deadmen.co.uk for details of when he joined etc if you want. You can also check CB match records. Our results website oldbloke.acidman.com also sets out who has played where and when - you will find Dark Angel is an active dMw member.

Our request for WONIDs reflects the fact that we get challenged by some clans who have both a dubious record AND nobody registered with WONIDs. However Dark Angel's play was hardly what could be called mercenary. He made a modest contribution to our T rounds and did nothing but sun-bathe it seems during the CT rounds. So in reality he didn't really have a significant impact upon the game at all.

I think I am most saddened by the fact that you feel that a clan with our premium reputation for fair play and honesty deserves an automatic match conflict over a single player without a WONID

I have chastised DA and instructed him to get his WONID onto CB's website. He has after all been dMw registered here on CB for a while now.

You are within your rights to put in the conflict, that I do not dispute, and as a dMw Squad Leader I take responsibility for fielding a CB-registered player without his WONID also being registered.

I would point out that we are one of the friendliest, most honest and true clans you will ever have the privilege of playing on CB. So if you really want to kick up over a WONID issue that is an honest mistake, then I can only warn you to be on the lookout for match conflicts every time you play, because we are one of the good guys.

So, the question is, having registered your conflict over DA's missing WONID, what do you hope to achieve?

Please let me know so that we can discuss how to progress matters.

I am holding in reserve any comment about Bo1nG having played in only three CB matches and having already registered 3 CB match conflicts.  We'll see how they respond.  Personally, if they want to chalk up a win like this then that is fine with me - they can have it.  I'll just post a short but pointed comment about them so that other clans can be warned, it's not worth anything more than that.

any CL with the slightest bit of maturity will realise that what you have said it good hard honest truth and withdraw there complaint, if they don't wish to get a bad name in CB and other leagues/ladders.

Hmmm
I know there is a problem here but...........
They managed to get their sub on whilst the match was in progress if i remember it right.
And when the match was eventually paused they said to carry on cos bilko had managed to get into the game before we paused it.
Just a thought b4 someone actually starts throwing that one about to much.
