Quote/cast [target=mouseover] insertspellnamehere

The above Macro is incredibly, incredibly useful. It has single handedly removed much of my guilds problems with removing debuffs since the loss of Decursive.

You make this macro, and for the fight, bind it to 1 or 2 on your bar.

Then, very simply, use your right hand to move your mouse pointer over the raid window where the person afflicted by whatever debuff you want to remove is... and use your left hand to click '1' or '2' to key the macro, and there you go, spell removed.

You can clear up an entire group VERY fast with this macro, especially if you use the Blizzard Default UI Group bars. Small enough you can just run down them spamming the removal spell every second on the groups you're assigned to.

Oh, another very big key:

ASSIGN GROUPS TO SPECIFIC PEOPLE.

This will help to no end, and prevent multiple castings of curse going to the same people and others not getting the debuff off fast enough.

Various Macros include: (Note: These are individual macros, not lines of a single macro)

Priest:

/cast [target=mouseover] Dispel Magic
/cast [target=mouseover] Cure Disease
/cast [target=mouseover] Abolish Disease

Shaman:

/cast [target=mouseover] Cure Disease
/cast [target=mouseover] Cure Poison
/cast [target=mouseover] Purge
(The Last one is for use on the enemy. Very useful.)

Druid:

/cast [target=mouseover] Cure Poison
/cast [target=mouseover] Remove Curse
/cast [target=mouseover] Abolish Poison

Mage:

/cast [target=mouseover] Remove Lesser Curse

Paladin:

/cast [target=mouseover] Cleanse

Important note: No you do not have to have the (Rank 2) next to the spell. If you just put in the correct spell name, it will automatically cast the highest rank spell of that name. I've tested this. The (Rank 2) additions are for downranking.

You can make more macros using the targer=mouseover command. Healing spells. Renew. Rejuv. For PvP, you can make it Hunter's Mark or Corruption or Siphon Life, or any other instant cast spell you want to rain over multiple people in the feild/cast on a specific moused over target. That Purge macro above for Shamans is awesome for PvP. Just move your mouse around and start purging an entire field of enemies.

This, of course, makes Gnomes even more Imba then before... but we'll get over it. -grins-

Oh, and it makes Tauren EVEN MORE ANNOYING! (zomgCant!See!)

All you need to do is hold your mouse pointer over the person OR their name in the raid window to get the Mouseover macro to work and heal them.

Also, just so you all know. With the right setup and assigned groups, you can and will be able to remove debuffs FASTER then you did with Decursive. It really does. Especially as you can remove priority targets first with much more reliability.

Its more work, sure, but its also more fun.

Give it a try. It may help your raids. Best of luck.

Marduk says it works with raid frames (CTra etc) so you can hit macro and it will dispell the target you are moused over, and considering you can get raid frames to color with curse (poison/etc) this should make stuff eazy. Who needs decursive :narnar:

Now when people are talking about decursing, Healbot is pretty nice and yes I know it is made for healers. BUT the decursing part is easier (imo) because you can see on little window who has curse so you don't have to klick everybody. And the decursing works like klicking the name on the window.

There are some pictures about the mod, but it is your choise what to use it just needs to work :)

Nobody needs to click on anyone, that's the point Lexander, or maybe I misunderstood your post?  The raid display on your UI highlights who has the curse (substitute poison/magic debuff for your class), you move your mouse over the person with the curse and hit the decurse macro button (do not click the person).

I did find one problem yesterday and that is that I had trouble getting it to work in a party.  Mainly as I disabled my party display somehow!  I'll go check again later.

The only advantage I see is that you don't need to select the target and that leaves you on to your current target.

But pressing a macro button or pressing the cleanse button isn't much of a different.

The way RG2 does it is give 1 pally two groups, and you'll cover all people without cleansing eachothers people. If you are done with your group, you can help out the other groups starting from the bottom.

Now I work a lot with keyboard and have all my spells in my 1 to = keys.
Cleanse is on 7, just above the always used "Y" that was bound to decursive.

And TL, check your Advance Interface options, in the middle you'll find "Hide party members" or something like that. Deselect it.

Oh BTW, I'm left handed. So my left hand is on my mouse and letting my fingers of my right hand rest at "6" "7" "0" and reach all much used spells fast....specialy the BoP under "-".

I think what I was saying was that Lexander was referring ot his option 'not having to click everyone'.

His option gives a window - the macro route does not need a window as it uses the existing raid display in your UI (all healers/decursers etc already have the raid displayed on the desktop so why have another window).

His option needs you to click on a name to decurse, the macro uses 'mouseover' and a bound key to decurse.  The latter is easier I believe as the speed of mouseover only is better than the speed of mouseover-click.

As for the party display, I do not use the Blizz UI so that won;t help I am afraid   I use a heavily tweaked version of Photek with sRaidframes.  Somewhere in my config I changed the party display option.  when I re-enabled it it did not seem to work with the mouseover option.  Mouseover only seemed to work with Raid displays under sRaidframes and I was wondering if anyone else had experienced the same?

I just ment that with healbot you see new raidfames where you can see people coloured with curse, so then I just klick the name in healbots frames.
But well it ain't any different than moving your mouse over the person and then hitting the macro button. But I just like healbot because there I can clearly see the persons who is under curse :)

Edit:

And by klicking everybody I ment that in ct-raid assist raid frames I don't see curse clearly so I have to spam the decurse macro and move mouse over everybody.

Ok, most raid frames include the option to colour the cursed/poison/debuffed  person, so I guess the visual is the same, I just prefer the simplicity of the one line macro and think it is slightly faster.

I'm gonna try both ways to find which is faster and better.
And also going to try mod my ct-raid frames that I can see curses better.

You might as well check which buff you WANT to see...

for me there are three buffs I want to see to cleanse. The colours are pretty simple.

But it's just personal what you like...
