Sazgul

I feel a strange atmosphere in SoG these days, dont know if it only me or someone else seems to notice it too. It makes me a bit unsecure about the existance of SoG.

So whats going on, anyone has a clue? There seems to be a quite silence, almost like "before the storm" situation.

So I'd like to say; SPIT IT OUT! Stop sneaking around in the bush. If you know something, I feel I have a right to know.

Im feeling like I need to secure myself a "backup" plan if SoG is to be castet into utterly chaos with the TBC, I dont want to lose all the good friends I've made in SoG.

But again this might just be me? :g:  - kinda hope its just me..... but doubt it.

Siffredi

I dont think there is much different in SoG atm, other that we have a new GM, TBC is inc within 3 weeks and ppl are bored with pvp and raids without purpose (lootwise) and are pretty much soooo looking forward to TBC... Clearly some ppl will leave/stop playing/doing nothing, others will simply stay and get to lvl 70 explore new areas, and start raidgroup up and become one of the greatest on server :)

I dont think there is any sneaking going on by any of the FMs, and havent heard other than old rumors by the members...

Please don't be worried about SOG, it will be here come the expansion, Bastet will kill you if it is not

Seriously, there is uncertainty simply because it is uncertain how we will organise the Guild post TBC.  You're simply feeling the uncertainty that everyone else is.  Some players will no doubt leave to try their hand at something new, some Guilds will simply crack under the strain (check out Righteous RG1 - it is practically non-existant already),  other Guilds will survive the change, reorganise and move forward even stronger.

I think SOG will be in that latter group, it will be a survivor and a leading raiding Guild.  Many of the Guilds do not have the support structure we have - our great forums, our teamspeak server, our social scene which bonds us and more than anything our 200 members.  However it would be completely wrong to expect to go through TBC without anything happening to us; no Guild will come out of TBC unscathed and we will all have to cope with change.  It is how we manage that change that will determine how well we survive into TBC.

Remember that TBC will be a great leveller.  We will not need to be devastated at losing some of the 50 RG1 members or 60 RG2 members because TBC means as a Guild we can rely on all 200 SOG members not just the ones with the 'leet gear'.  L61 greens equal the T1 epics, L62 blues exceed some T2.5 epics and so in the early days it will be exceptionally easy to 'gear up' a newer raid member to a level we would have previously felt was 'good'.  From that point on it is a level playing field and all members get a shot at raiding with us if they want.  The difference in gear from member to member will not be a defining factor at that point and will help us through the change.

What it needs is strong leadership (which we have in Bastet) and a willingness to manage the change.  Plan to expect change, manage the change properly and SOG will prosper.  To plan to expect no change would be foolhardy.

Ty for the reply's.

I was just getting the feeling that Bastet stood kinda alone with it all. But its nice to hear from you TL, confirming SoG's existance.

This makes me more calm ( cool and collected! :D  )

I was just thinking - Hmmm Menedil, Torir, and others started Genesis, and many in SoG showed signs of leaving, you can then imagine what a few people in SoG thought, at least I did.

I would just be sad to see the strong leadership in SoG fall apart, because this will = Guild chaos.

And damn im looking forward to TBC, btw I will be getting it before all ya other ppl :D . At 00:01 in Denmark, my store will have a speciel midnight opening. I managed to get 40 collectors edt. and 300 std edition. And since I have a few advantaged I can get the collectors at the same price as std. = showoff pet :woot2:

All are welcome! Tshirts for the 15 first. - Me and Buford will stand ready to welcome you at 00:01.

Greatdanes

I think you have put words on what several guys feel this days including me, Sazgul but again like TL have put it, it's very hard to say how things will go after TBC is coming out.

But I think one of the most intelligent choice this guild have taken latest was to make Bastet GM because in him I feel we have a man who we all have confidence(no offend to the rest) in and I know for my self, I am alot more confident now.

But it's hard not to be suspiciously with the large number of people stopping / taking a break atm. Why is that coming now? There is still 4-6 raids after the holidays.

But I hope the FM's can stick together through this and we will be able to make SoG a very successful raiding guild and the best on Aszune in the future as we are now.

Bastet

I fully expect us to lose quite a few ppl, but is that really a bad thing? If we kept everyone we are looking at having to support 4 whole raid groups, if some leave, we have a eazyer job, since we all allready know its a b**** to manage as few as 2 running raid groups.

And what TL said, any chance i can bum a CED off your store? :narnar:

Got loads, not all is preordered.

Yrthal, Buford, Claw and me has secured one.

699.95 danish kr. á pop. You are welcome in Skive, Denmark.
Sending you one might just result in you getting it to late compared to the release date of the game, since Im not quite sure when we get them. But by all means if you send/wire me the cash I would be glad to mail one to you. Keep in mind, its about 2kg. :D

And the same goes for you Bastet.

And a comment on GD's comment to Bastet beeing GM. I felt lately that Vargen lost all interest in it(nothing offending meant), so Bastet, I welcome you as GM, and im sure you will do a perfect job, and you can count on me.

TeaLeaf

Don't care when I get it as I will buy the normal version too.  Happy to sen dyou cash direct to your account/paypal or whatever.  I'd pay the postage as there are zero Collector's Editions in the UK AFAIAA.  I'll ask it nhe forums forst but I think you cna book me down for one!

I half-inched my earlier post in this thread and put it in the member section as I thought it needed saying.

2-4 days shipping to Great Britannien. 177,- kr. max 2kg package.

So that's 699,95 danish kr. + 177 danish kr. for shipping (if TBC:CEDT is no more than 2 kg total)

876,95 kr. ~ 877,- danish kroner. approx 116â,¬

I can ship it to you at the 15th of jan, maybe the day before.

Let me know, and I'll pass you the account information.

Greatdanes

For me it seems the rumour about the hardcore of RG1 is forming it's own guild is becoming true.....

For me it seems very suspicious it's only RG1 members who is leaving.

Seriously.  Is that important?  We expected to lose some and have yet to see the expected ex-NG break away.  Does this matter to what you want to do at SOG?

For me it look someone know this was going to happen and I think that's why Sazgul start this thread in the first place but we was told nothing was expected.
