admin message binds

Use RCONGUI or bind a key as follows:

bind "w" "ma_say This is an admin message"
in this case pressing w will display the message.


Hopefully my man-flu is just a 48 hour thing as I'm starting to feel better already.

I was looking in C:\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\blunt2005\counter-strike source\cstrike\cfg

what bout your config file ore user config is it there.?

If autoexec,cfg doesn't exist just create a text file with notepad and rename it to autoexec,cfg. You may alternatively have a userconfig.cfg

if you look closely i propose a slightly different way say @ instead of ma_say. which worked better for me, since some commands like _ shut down my console.

make a text file with notepad and call it dmw.cfg.
Put those lines into.
After you join a dMw server you can type "exec dmw.cfg" in console to run it - it will stay valid for as long as you are connected to the server.

If you put the lines into config.cfg it will get run for every server you join and because the rcon password you are trying to set is only valid on dMw then you run the risk of getting your IP auto banned on another server. How do I know this? Bitter experience :blush:
