oops

[Blunt]

at the start of a round tonight, I opened rcongui and clicked on the 5 sec restart to allow peeps to join, and the server crashed with the message "added to banned list"

this happened a coupls of days ago too...

I'd be interested to find out if it's just me who has this superpower.

There's your reason fella, too many attempts to execute an rcon command without first entering the rcon password will do that.  Either that or someone changed rcon password since you used it last?

just make sure that you have the correct RCON PW in your dmw.cfg and that you had exectued it before trying to use the restart

I'm sure that will be the issue.  That's how I managed to get myself banned on a number occasions. Now I have the rcon password in my autoexec.cfg and don't have any issues (just don't try and using rcon on non-dMw servers :flirty:).

To avoid that problem I let HLSW enter the RCON password ...

The problem is when using RCONGUI if you don't have the rcon password entered as part of your startup configs. I've never had a problem with HLSW.

So what your saying Whitey is that if you have the rcon in your autoexec.cfg
and you join diff server you get banned.?

If your IP was banned then you won't get the status back from HLSW or anything else (or that's what happened to me).

Only if you try and run admin commands on that server.
