After a bit of late-night CS'ing I figured I would try and see if I could contribute as a mani-admin. I figured it went ok, too leenient if anything i think, resulting in many warnings before kicks and ergo a lot of chat text. But hey, quite a few non-tcs players there.

First of all we had a guy with a 200 ms ping, who wanted to have it sorted as he wanted to play. How am I to address that? I lost my internet that night in the scenario, damn wireless, but my plan was to refer him to the dmw forum for support with his ping and tell him that 200 ms is too much. Is that the way to go about it? and what is the maximum ping we tolerate? Perhaps this should be in the MOTD?

Secondly, when people complain about teams I am not sure how bad it has to be before I regulate it. I mean things like how close to the game is to an and (13), the difference in scores and the differences in numbers of players all influence. Are there any guidelines for this? And if so, should I move a player as I see fit (probably right as a game starts?) or use the autobalance thing in the main functions?

re ping...I ask them to sort it, then kick if they don't....but I'm not 100% on that as it has to be bad for me to notice.

as far as team balancing goes, if team A is thrashing team B, then team B can have as many as they need...it has been 8v3 and still been level because of skill imbalance.

as long as it is an even game I'm happy to leave it

Ok. Seems fair.

Spot on.

I don't care how may are on each side. If it is running as a level game then it is right

As fas as the ping goes, I usually ask people to sort their ping if it's over about 250 , as it makes them very hard to hit due to the laggy motion.  If they don't get it sorted within a round then tell them your kicking them, so that they can sort their ping.  If the high ping is not impeding the game (they are not lagging round the map....) then let them stay. There's nothing you can do as an admin to help their ping during the game.

Don't give too many warnings before you kick/slay, as it's a lot worse to see nasty chat going back and forward and a slay/kick usually sorts things out quickly.  If you've told someone twice and they do it again, kick them (unless it's bad language in which case only one warning on the server and kick/ban anyone who swears after it).

DuVeL

Usually when their ping is to high I ask them to sort it, if they don't reply or respond a warning again with usually a suggestion and our website.
If they don't listen: kick.

If teams are unballanced, swap players when their dead. Usually same as on MH: first to die please swap to the loosing team (First an adminmessage).
