as long as you use a real web browser and a firewall, you're safe. I've been using Curse for two years, and I've never had a problem at all.  It's all about just taking the necessary precautions

And I have also used curse the whole time I have been playing wow, and never had any problems. So as said firefox + good firewall and you should be fine (IE != good web browser, and xp firewall.... well.... it is something that I won't comment) :narnar:
