how come T's cannot re-take hostages (i.e. stop them following a CT) ...it's a real pain just having to try run past them to kill the CT! :sideways:

good games tonight though:flirty:

Yeah - gg's

I only play a couple of times a week but have been consistently and pleasantly surprised how full the server is now and how well people are playing as a team.

Sure we still get the odd prat but in the main there's a great bunch of regulars from both within and without dMw who play.

For the rest: As CT, the hostages not making any sound/noise is a big + in my book.

:withstupid:

There are of course days and maps where I end up mani-admining my ass off, for instance on italy, but I agree. Bunch of regulars now and great fun :D

Penfold

Agree with you on Italy,

Perhaps we could persuade Uncle Whitey to add the boundary markers to that map also? :norty:

but equally if I was a terrorist I wouldn't be running alongside the fleeing hostages only trying to shoot the CT. I'd kneecap the hostages to stop them running... and a hostage who is trying to run away that comes face to face with the terrorist weilding an ak47 is hardly likely to calmly jog past him!

It makes far more sense in CZ where if a T "uses" a hostage who is either trying to run away or is following a CT that hostage stops (saying "sorry sorry I'll co-operate" or something) and can be returned to the hostage room (or at the least kept in the new location

Having to actually jostle your way through fleeing hostages as a T in order to get a shot off at the CT is definitely not realistic! If you could wound the fleeing hostages in order to stop them maybe that would be an option but not being able to use them just strikes me as stupid.

How about allowing the slaughter of hostages if they're running away behind a CT?

Well, I usually try and shoot the CT, if the hostage gets in the way: too bad. The objective is to prevent the CT's from taking the hostages and if he has them and they get in the way: RIP hostage.

I did do Italy.  Was it the map you joined on?
I wish it would work consistently as sometimes I join and don't see the decals, even after a map change .

Would be a nice idea for the next update from steam, to have the hostages fall down when shot in the legs, or jump to the ground when the shooting begins, would make it more realistic, and would save some people (like me:sad: ) the trouble of shooting all 4 hostages only to end up with an empty clip infront of the CT that was taking them.

First let them sort the Voicecomms.
Ahwell, the hostages have allways been a bit off in all CounterStrike versions. The best hostages were still the bikinimodels.

Bastet

At least the hostages are following and not getting hopelessly stuck most the time now. Next nice thing would be to make them a bit more realistic, also in regard to shooting em while a CT runs off with them if you accidently hit one you can kiss your money pool goodbye :crying:

Probly because i'm sure they would rather go with the CTs rescuing them than the Ts who were holding them hostage in the first place, gotta be a pretty dumb hostage to do that :D I don't understand why the Ts shouldn't kill them tho, if theyre being rescued surely its better to kill them?

Pretty sure they'd stop following if the rescuer had run off round the corner and a Terrorist shot one or two of their kneecaps out...If a T can get close enough to "use" a hostage that's like having a gun shoved into the spine ... surely it makes more sense for T's to be able to "take" hostages and return them to the start point, or at the very least make them stop in their tracks.

probably but then people might suggest that is against the rules, as once the hostages are dead the objective of saving the hostages cannot be completed ... which is different to killing the hostages at the start of a round but not by much. Plus it hurts the bank account!
