This week i bought a s12 600 psu supply from scan.co.uk and chose my preferred delivery date which was Wednesday 21/3/07. I first became worried that my order had not even been processed as they didn't send me an immediate confirmation like most other retailers to confirm my order. I then got on email later Monday morning saying that my parcel would be delayed and therefore would not be delivered due to overwhelming demand on my preferred date. This then led to a subsequent email informing me that they were not entirely sure when i would receive my power supply and that they would deliver it when it was finally ready. I then got an email saying the item had been picked and finally it arrived today. The packaging and care that the company provided to the package was ultimately pathetic. It arrived in an initial city link bag with holes and it was very tatty. There were no labels for fragile or notices for the safe passage of the package and in all it looked as though it had been salvaged from a rubbish heap. I opened the psu box, which had no seal and then proceeded to install it inside my case. You can understand why I wasn't surprised that it was dead on arrival. I immediately rung scan and complained and am having the item picked up. Now from the operators estimate was that it would take an added 3-5 days to process the item which is utterly ridiculous. The lack of care from a company who regularly advertises themselves as a "master of customer care" is almost overwhelming and from a law perspective false advertising. I will be writing a letter of complaint to their governing body and to the chief executive informing them of their employee who i conveniently have their name printed on my invoice after the safe passage of my goods. In all i am rather upset that my favourite retailer ebuyer did not have the psu in stock and after both my experiences away from them i will no longer jump in the deep end.

Suggest you go to this forum:

and politely let them know. The Scan guys regularly bend over backwards to help out. Additionally, the popularity of scan has soared tremendously recently and they are setting up a completely new stock database so that we can see live stock levels instead of the approximate guesses we get just now. Please, go to Hexus and let them know and I'm sure they'll meet your expectations.
