Not noticed that on Stalker. It may be the case that you are more susceptible to these sorts of things. If you are concerned you can always ask a doctor.

Another thing to check is whether you have vsync enabled or disabled in the game. If it is disabled you will get higher frame rates but the display may flash/tear more which will be uncomfortable after a while. If it is enabled then you will get lower frame rates but the display should be much smoother to the eye.

Worth checking I suppose.

If you focus long and hard on your monitor, especially if you are sitting to close, you can end up confusing the balance.Try distancing yourself a little bit from the monitor and maybe once in a while look away from it and back.

Happens to me once in a while. A good indication of too much gaming for me

Nefertem

Haven't experienced it for quite some time, but back when I played Duke Nukem and the old wolfenstein and Doom 3D games, I always got naucious after a short period..

You've hardened since then mate :D

Benny

I vaguely remember this from a while ago. Is there a check on Stalker to stop the head bobbing when you run?

That or man up a bit.

Master of maybe

smite

I had the same problem with quite a few games.
As Benny said, switch off view bob.
The worst games were FPS inside rooms, caves, enclosed spaces.

Eternaluk

I get this when I play on the computer and it's set to 60 hertz, It's to do with radiation, ( Still got a tft mon, or is that tct, I always forget. ) so I set it to 72 hertz, and it's fine. Or you get motion sickness.
Hokí - Dwarf Marksmanship Hunter.
Shather - Rogue Twink.

DuVeL

I never had any problems like that. Played STALKER the whole Sunday and no problems.
I think a year ago someone typed something similar that they also got dizzy or such.
Can't find that particulair thread though.
All I remember is my reply that games allways have a warning with it about the thing you're having.

i have it with multiple games too, mostly fps like the old doom (not with the newest fps luckely), but also with Carmageddon, i always thoughed it had to do something with my eyes, cuz i have a lil bit trouble with seeing depths.

edit:
When i played oblivion, i had it too, but maybe that had something to do with the fact that my pc had the minimum pc requirements, and was shaking a bit here and there.

Yep it's motion sickness. I get it on Half-life and Half-life 2 a fair bit. However I actually get it worse without head bob switched on. It's the gliding along sensation that gets me. With head bob on I suffer from it less. Which is  probably why I never had a problem in Counter-Strike.

I only got it mild so I have no idea whether traditional motion sickness remedies (i.e tablets, weird rubber bracelets etc.) would help?

Whatever's gone wrong it's not my fault.

i remember that my sister had those bracelets when she was 6 years old or so, when she had car sickness. It used to help here a bit back then.

DuVeL

Maybe it's better for some people here to not drink beer and play then :)
Ahwell, must say that I didn't knew that that much people have problems with it like that...

Sheepy appears and begins to stroke my head. According to his slurred drunken speech I am "lovely and like a fuzzy felt". Thankfully he soon leaves and passes out somewhere. [/quote]
