We play Tactically... why not Strategically?

Hey. I've just been wondering recently, why does dMw not give much support to Strategy gaming? We enjoy playing tactically, and what's more tactical than strategy? I currently play StarCraft: BW, WarCraft 3, Dark Crusade and Empire Earth 1. Myself and Eternal play on Warcraft 3 regularly together, and are thinking of creating a small clan. We (or I) where (or was) wondering what it would take to get a WC3 arm of the community? Although you don't get Servers on Battle.net, you do get a great ladder, tourney and so on system, and also a great Team and Friends section.

Also, I was think maybe a slightly different name for the Strategy clans, maybe Undead Men Walking -=[UdMw]=-

So, what's your view on Strategy gaming?

( meaning he's an annoying talkin' person? )

But yeah, I kinda back Techy, it would be nice to have a Strategy section. ( I don't mind if there isn't, since it wont make much diffrence if no one plays on strategy games. ) (( Confused myself again... ))

I think there are many that play different strategy games.

I usually focus on turned based games but RTS is ok as well. Civ series, Master of Orion I and II, Mech Commander I and II etc. Talk to BB/TL/OB and I think they could create a section for us. Could you consider being moderator for it?

. Anyway, I haven't really played many turn-based games. I played Civ3, but back then I wasn't too intelligent... xD. I did badly.

Its easy enough to create a section if you wanted. Just give me the word when you are ready and know what you want to include in it - if it is too general it may not work, best keeping it to a few agreed games and discussing the rest in the "its a game but it aint in the gaming section" part of the forum.

Well, I'd definetly like a WarCraft 3 forum, and Dark Crusade would be nice >.>.

Could I suggest a sub section in the 'It's a game' section to see how it goes. I like the idea of expansion, but not if it's another section that won't get used or has two regular posters and that's all....

Maybe, but I wouldn't worry about non-activity. In the past, I've been able to foster interest quite well ^^.

Indeed. Also, a few sugestions for games to add; Well, we'll need to know what sort of games you all play, so, letting us know is a good way to get an idea what sort of games should/will be added.

Righty, some ideas from me. WarCraft III Reign Of Chaos, ( WarCraft III The Frozen throne. ) WarHammer 40,000: Dawn Of War-Dark Crusade, ( Maybe the other two if you feel the need. ), and they are the only ones 'I' feel that MUST be added, as for others, keep sugestions coming.

. Well, AoE 2 anyways... haven't even tried AoE 3 yet...

Played Master of Orion... Still a great classic. A section for turnbased would be really nice!

Have a friend whoÃ¸s played the game regularly since it came out :blink:
