I just invited Belzlblub to the guild. she got a 10day trial. and she wanted to say hi to us. she's a old time SoG. and i think it would be nice with another social "girl" in the guild for a little while.. she's not gonna play more than the trial, coz of studies and stuff. hope you won't have anything against this. if so i appologize and will stand down as a officer as a punishment. or what you other think would punish me.

Nah, I'm game with Belz being back. Just do the paperwork yourself (and put yourself as her sponsor).

I'm sure we can find something suiting :norty:

But it's Belz, so I don't see a problem with it - and also, as it's only for here 10-day trail it would be a waste of time to go through the normal paper mill. And besides, we haven't announced anything about an application system to the members yet, so we can make whatever exception we would like for now :flirty:

I dont mind her either, but isnt this abit like it was with Marduk?
I mean, I don't want to be a bother here, but we couldn't make an exception for him, we needed to post on forums etc before anything could be done.
And even if its just for a ten days period of time, what happens if she decides to keep on playing? I know this guild needs more social members etc, but if you cant make an excetpions for one, dont make for the next.

Sorry guys, I dont mean to be like this, but at least make an application and be her sponsor so the paperwork is DONE, and its formally.......

And I do think she should be in the guild yes. Heck, I can even be her sponsor if needed.
Anyway, whats done is done, and no Spiritus, we don't want to punish you, cos you've done nothing wrong.

Just get Spiritus to dot the is and cross the ts.  Argument avoided.  Belz in guild.

Seeing what argument araised with the invite of ducky, I honestly believe it to be in our best intrest to be consistent in our invites, or atleast get a system up and out to our members ASAP.

That said, i have no problem seeing Belz back in the guild.

set a line, and stick to it, consistency in management avoids a whole load of hard calls down the line, and agruements like, shes only in cause officers like her. Do stuff properly, or it will come back to bite you in the bum.

Thats my point. I dont like it when people tells me to take it on the forum or at least get the majority of the officers and then make exceptions as they self seem fit.

PLEASE, dont be mad at me, but we really can't go on like this. Make a plan, and stick to it.

Actually I agree with all the above. Consistency is a way to make our job a lot easier. So we should stick to the plans we make and follow the same rule for every player.

The only problem in this case, is that we haven't really made a decision towards how invites should be handeled. A discussion was started in [post=186335]this thread[/post], but we never reached any conclusion. Two different approaches were suggested, but there are hardly nobody who has commented on it, so if people could participate a bit more in that discussion we might have a system up running very fast.

This means, that until such a system is up running, we have nothing to do but handle the invites the "old way", meaning just a post in this section. Now Spiritus did perhaps make a rash decision, but as time was of the matter in this case, I think it was a acceptable choice from him.

Don't apologize when you haven't done anything wrong - we need to keep remember each other how we should do things in here :)

If no plan was agreed upon asume old system is still in place. Guildrunning 101, systems work untill the anouncement is made on the public forum or in case of some more hidden things till a post is made all officers can sign off on.

If you are to manage SOG, especialy when raiding, you HAVE to make deals, and stick to them. They DONT have to be prefect, as long as they are workable. They DO need to be quick, else you get this dragging your heals in the sand. And most importantly, when its written, ALL have to follow them.

The paragraph above is how i ran SOG, with help from the other officers ofc, if no others where arround they would not have thier vieuw heard, you simply cant drag stuff out forever. Now if you need help, by all means contact me, you have my MSN, Steam, Forum, and email.

Edit: Note, this issue might be minor, but solve the underlaying problem before it spreads to harder topics. You set the line to be followed when inviting Marduk, stick with it.
