Help Killing My VIP MOD

I have a VIP MOD on CS, and would like to remove it. looking through my steam files it appears to have spread through several different folders within CS!
It has been sat there mostly unused for 2 years. Does anyone know the whereabouts of an uninstall program ?:please: :unsure:             :getmecoat:

If it's a 3rd party MOD, there will be an uninstall option. Usually people use "Add-Remove programs" in the "Start Menu". However i find this program to be far more effective.

It's called CC - Cleaner, it acts as an "add or remove" program, but also has 2 other options:

• "Cleaner" searches for any old temp files, or generally files that are not needed and deletes them.
• "Issues" - searches for old registry files that are not need or are old and can be deleted. Especially useful if getting rid of old games.
• Its free and does not contain and viruses or spy-ware. It will ask to automatically update every now and again, but thats fine.

OK Well I have ran it and deleted loads of old rubbish (including stuff I didn't realize was on there)...but... the VIP mod is integrated into my Counter Strike and needs to be deleted bit by bit, unless I can find a specific un-install program.  :sad:
But thanks for the help it has helped my PC but not my desire to run a clean version of Counter Strike.

Ho Hum, odd. I mean I'm still a bit of a Noob when It comes to getting technical with computers. But if it really bugs you that much, (as it does me too, ) then you could always uninstall CS:S/Steam, delete all the old folders, and use your shiny new CC-Cleaner:narnar:, then just re-install it.

A bit of effort i know, only solution i have.

Im not too familar with VIP mod but usual CS mods are added and removed from the liblist.gam file which can be found in your mod folder.

Where as a mod for CS would change the gamedll file locations, for instance metamod would have the following lines instead of the default ones.
 
gamedll "addons\metamod\dlls\metamod.dll"
gamedll_linux "addons/metamod/dlls/metamod_i386.so"

So replace your original gamedll lines as above and it should remove any mods you installed.  This is assuming your talking about a listenserver and actually taking about CS or CZ and not source.

Listen to JB, he's an ED-dude and knows about MODs and such which might give problems with your normal gaming...
