tonight my nephew Alex (Toxx), you may remember him (and shiver) messaged me saying he couldn't access the forum. I think he'd forgotten his pw or his old email addy.

anyway, I messaged him the server pw.

a couple of Peeps (Pen & 1 other i can't remember) asked how someone who hadn't registered on the forum could have the MH pw.

as far as i am concerned, he is registered on the forum, and I was ok to give him the pw on x-fire.

Just an explanatory post so you don't get the wrong idea.

That's not what I saw?

I was tweaking my fps on boomer and was in HLSW and saw a message come up on MH from someone called Daylight Robbery or something.

It said that he had a friend who hadn't registered on dMW but wanted the password and could he give it out.

I didn't see that it was from toxx and relating to Shiver. Actually tbh I didn't even realise that you were online.

I didn't recognise his (Daylight's) name and he didn't give the name of the person wanting to come in (AFAIK)

Is that what you're talking about?

I may have blundered into the conversation 1/2 way through as I missed all that lol

He is registered, but it was several computers ago, and he couldn't remember whether he'd registered or not, but I could remember that he had.

so I told him the pw.

he registered as Toxx but was playing as Daylight Nobbery.

I checked out Toxx on the forums and thought it ok to bypass the pw retrieval system as I know him(and can send in the goons)

I don't know who shiver is though:rolleyes:

When I'm sober 2morrow I'll have a look and try to reset his PW so he can join forums under original name. if nothing happens in next few days then I have not reached sobriety and somebody needs to drop me a reminder

That's fine mate - it was only a misunderstanding. If he had been playing as Toxx then I would have known him and it wouldn't have been an issue. You should have admin'd that you knew him then I wouldn't have even questioned it.  

It's no biggie ....

Will do m8, but he's right in the middle of exams for the next few days. I know he's made a start writing it up though:)

Oh man, forget it if he's in exams - he didn't tell me.... that's far more important.

Anytime over the next few weeks if possible.... no stress _ my client won't chase me for it until mid-July.
