I'm full of admiration for all you CS:S admins. I've got a pretty short fuse when it comes to a**holes but you've all got the patience of a saint! Some clan invaded tonight and gave Duv some grief, I kicked 1, but Duv was messing with some so&so for ages. (I think he showed great restraint)

It's difficult when people come from the world of the pubbies, it takes a bit of adjusting.

It's such a shame that the signs don't show up on your 1st map, that would help no end.

I had a chat with their CL.
They joined started mouthing off if we were a kiddy clan or such enforcing rules and such. I then told their CL a bit that we're in CounterStrikeScene for quit a while now.
Then one of their players started mouthing off again, bad language and such. Seemed it was probably a kid of 14 or less.
He didn't listen and I gave him a 5 minute ban (just because of the short chat with their CL and so they don't start messing up the server). Then he came back and I asked him if he knew what respect was, he said no and I warned him, 1 more mistake and the ban is longer. Just before they all left I ended up in giving him a 7 day ban but I reckon it could have made that a permanent one.

Well, as they joined in with 5-6 from their clan I wanted a bit of hospitality. The rest of them were allright except that 1 youngster.

Our take on DHs* is that if after a warning to shape up they don't behave, they're banned for 12 hours (minimum sentence, no time of because of overcrowding) on the basis that they spoil it for all the people that DO want a fair game. Consequently Dead Men Racing has got itself a reputation for good, clean, fair racing and the same faces keep coming back.

Well, people intend to join a CounterStrikeServer usually without checking the serverrules and such so we usually end up in giving warnings at first. If the guy/girl doesn't reply: slay + the message check the serverrules, type MOTD.
Usually after that follows;
Option 1) -OMG, admin why did you slay me! ***Player goes beserk and starts TK'ng and so which then would be followed up by a ban depending how bad it goes.
Option 2) Player checks MOTD and seems to understand.
 
I reckon that when you lot race it's a bit different, races take a bit longer then a map of CounterStrike.
Still, it seems that the number of players that actually like the rules seem to be growing again.

I'm fairly tolerant.

On several occasions when ppl have not being playing to our standards (gaming that is - not skill obviously :lmfao:) they're most apologetic once having been pointed to the MOTD and given a brief intro to TCS. From that point they become valuable members.

That said, there are also the complete t***sers who just get banned.
