Help wanted for speakerset...

Well i have a little thing to solve for someone and i am hoping if you guys have some nice idea's for it:rolleyes:
 
The thing is:  
 
Someone i know has a notebook and wants to use it in the livingroom on the table with a speakerset but then without to much (long) cable work.
 
So the idea is just to put the notebook on a table with a speakerset and listen to some nice music while doing some work in that area.
 
 
So do you guys have any idea's for a good speakerset for something like this? i don't know the budget but i think it may not be to expencieve but it hasn't to be cheap aswell.....
