I just wanted to let you know (in case it has to go further) that I had to have words with DuVel last night for an outbust of foul language on Meathook that I will not repeat. All because someone said "yeh, yeh" when they shot him.

I told him that it was not acceptable behaviour for an admin, if there is another outburst like that I see no option but to remove his admin status (at the very least). :sad:

I would like DuVel removed as an admin. His behaviour tonight was awefull to the point that another one of the senior admins wanted to kick him off the server.

We were on Meathook having a fun Friday when DuVel joined, someone made a funny comment about him (as had been done to others most of the night) and he flew into a rage and wouldn't let it rest. I received Friends messages from 3 people to say he was spoiling the games and the admin on his team asked if he could be kicked (and he wasn't joking). I told DuVel to calm down which he did for 10-20 minutes before exploding again. At this point the senior admin on his team said if he didn't stop he would kick him, at this point DuVel left the server. All admins present on the server at the time agreed DuVel was WAYYYYYY out of order. I replied to a PM DuVel sent me (copied TL/OB/BB ) but I didn't want to take any further action without discussing it here.

He has been warned and should face the concequences. I back you up whatever you decide to do.

I have removed DuVeL from the Forum Admin group and placed him in Charlie company pending a decision on whether he should keep Charlie status.

Whitey, can you please PM him to let him know that we have removed him from Admin Group and are reviewing the situation.

We need to removed him from mani (whitey please action because my mani powers are all screwed up) and change the server RCON password (I'll do that later)

Sorry to hear that he's been misbehaving.

I'm also doubly sorry that he did it on MH on a server stuffed full of our most active and keen players.

I wasn't really around last night (only played a few rounds to test the new PC and to try and get my sound sorted) so can't comment but I gather there was more than one or two Admins to bear witness.

IMHO if we're implementing an 'Admin School' with a view to lifting adminning standards overall, then the Senior Admins have to be 'Whiter than White' or else it makes a mockery of what we're trying to achieve with the Mani's.

It goes without saying that you have my support in whatever decision is made.....

I think any decision made should be implemented from an 'Admin group' level and not an individual level... not fair that one person takes the brunt of any fallout - Collective Responsibility and all that....

Make sure you change it in any scripts you use and in HLSW if you also use that. Anyone getting their IP banned will be publicly humiliated

I have sent DuVel a PM and removed his Mani admin access.

I would like him to stay in Charlie company in the hope that this makes him think about and change his behaviour.

I'm not so sure but it is open for discussion. What would we have done if a Charlie had behaved like that?

We would have demoted them and in my opinion DuVel has been demoted. Same punishment, just different levels. But as you say, open to discussion.

I'm of the opinion he will have just had a big enough shock in finding he has lost his admin rights. I do not see the point at this stage of trying to take things any further, let's allow some time to elapse.

Have to admit that I was expecting more of a storm. Oh well, nice to be pleasantly surprised (unless there's a lot of frenetic PM'ing going on :eyebrow:).

Thought I might have had a PM by now as, for all his faults Pete and I get on pretty well. However, I've had nothing. I'm hoping he has just accepted it

I received three additional PM's after telling him his admin status had been revoked. All in really broken English, not making much sense, but all saying that he was the victim.
