Start Money on Boomer

I've notice lots of people on Boomer join spec and then a team again for the £5000 cash.  What do you think about changing the start money to £800 or £1000 to make this a less attractive option?

I've seen people do that trick aswell.
If I see them do that several times; Warning, after that; kick, should they rejoin and do it again; ban for a bit.
A month ago a player kept doing this trick so I banned him for a couple of days (wasn't a regular).

Im thinking start with 800 is good,like Duv said there a few players that use the trick...so 800 is good too begin.

I'm happy with £5000. Anybody found using the spec mode trick is not the sort of person we want on boomer and should be kicked/banned. We shouldnt have to alter our way of doing things to fit the muppets. Ban them and move on!

Your maybe right BB, but no matter what server you join these days you always start with 800 cash.

-=[dMw]=- has been an exception from most servers for years.
The ammount of money reflects also on the gamingstyle. For TCS I reckon 5k starting money is better because people will try and do the objective better. Otherwise it's pistols + light armour and when I'm playing as CT I allready have to make a choice between armour or defusalkit.
5k doesn't give me this problem.

5k doesn't give me this problem.

Well, if you set the money to $850 that problem is out of the way or as Whitey suggested in his post an even $1000.

I'm a naïve twit. It never, ever occured to me to pull a stroke like that. There's some tricky gits out there! :angry: Leave it at $5000, that's the only way I ever get a decent gun! :rolleyes:

I am with Doorman, leave it, and warn/kick/ban players that rejoin for the money.

Like Ron, it never occurred to me that people do that.

I have no preference on the start money but if I see non-admins doing that then I'll have words.

I see admins going spec - I go spec myself ... but that's normally to trail someone who seems a bit dodge or to follow up a complaint about someone going out of bounds etc.

I don't like the fact people rejoin the server for the extra cash but the admins can deal with that when we are around.  I don't like getting the 5k every time I join spec to watch some guy who's been going OOB but then again I'm not sure I'd like it reduce to 1k if I had 7k before going spec. :g:

As the vote is even, lets keep things as they are for now.  I'll check out the SourceMod plugins to see if there is something we can use for this.
