I can see he's Doggers son from that thread.
Handeld correct, he shouldn't have switched.
Some maps need to be ballanced more with teams as one of the teams has a +.

I do get sometimes words that admins became very "strict" but then again; We like a normal decent game aswell.

And yes, I'll be back very shortly.

I haven't replied to the main thread yet as I think Pen's reply says enough. I think the frag hunting "issue" must have gotten to Icehawk and now he's having a moan about anything:g:

The fact is we didn't have a public server in the "good old days" and even now on Meathook, everyone using common sense and changes team when needed.  Boomer is a different environment all together and needs a different level of admining, including more control over team swapping.

Ice Hawk is another kind of subject in my book.
He usually hangs back to pick off left overs (he once typed that he doesn't buy a gun first round and usually picks one up...I wonder how he can do that...). Seems he's also busy with BoD still.
You know my style is usually rush and flush but depending on what the bomber says. As said; I'd still rather die so the bomb can be planted then being the last on left (which allways happends to him somehow)...

Totally agree on the Boomer part. It's a Publicserver, we need to be a bit strict there. I still think the admins are doing a good job on Boomer.
Although a bit harsh maybe but some players need that.
I actually don't understand what people are complaining about though.
They should understand that adminning is sometimes difficult on the Publicserver and that admins would rather play normally aswell then telling people how to play or what to do.

Ahwell, this Friday I'm available to be shot at at MH. See you all there with a beer.

Dr Sadako

I think that Freelancer not the person to complain about rules or how to play. I think it was good that he was told not to swap.

Admining on Boomer is difficult at times especially if many mani admins are on. Still I find we do a really good job considering that we have to teach new players how to play TCS. Team balancing is rarely a perfect science and thus seldomly fair. I think that if the score ends 7-6 then we have done a really good job.
Swapping teams at map change on boomer is good if it happens but do not waste minutes swapping people back and forth if the numbers are even. On MH I see the point of this but not on Boomer.

I use the "@@ name" sometimes to ask a player to swap teams.

:roflmao: That's me sometimes, when I'm skint. When I can't afford more than a water pistol, (very often) I cast my eye around to see who's got a decent gun then follow him. Trouble with that plan is that I usually die before he does!
