Some greek philosopher said the stuff about "you have to be sick to know what it is like to be healthy" etc. - who was it? Pen?

Edit: I have an idea it was Demokrit (Democritus?), the atom idea guy, but can't find it?

Hektor

are you sick or what? :norty:
i read the book "the state" from platon a few years ago and i think i remember platon said this in one of the dialogues.
well, its possible that he himself just quoted someone, which means that this slogan wasnt invented by him...
there are a few important doctors in the greek-roman antiquity, but the most famous is probably hippokrates. maybe its a quote from him?
وما خلقت الجن والإنس إلا ليعبدون

No, it wasn't me....

PS. Not sure..... Could well have been Heraclitus though - sounds like him. If I remember correctly, he tended to spout philosophy in a similar way to the Delphic Oracle - i.e. it was vaguely cryptic and therefore you had to think about the underlying message.
