lucian expresses my sentiments exactlly, imo on that pull it could easily take 2 weeks of wiping constantly 4 3 hours to get it right. but im hoping that me n lucian showed a good enough side of ourselfs to maybe get ourselfs if not a few more ppl in to these runs, as this will be invaluable experance.

bloody hell they hit hard

Aye they hit hard, but:

Maulgar is *all* about the pull.  Most guilds wipe on the pull, but once you start getting the pull consistently then Maulgar is not far off being downed.  By not far off then I would suggest 'within the next 10 pulls'.  None of Maulgar's adds are on their own challenging, the trick is to be able to cope with splitting them up into their own areas in the room to be tanked and dealt with on their own.  Once you have a handle on that then Maulgar will drop - and for most guilds that comes real quick once you have control of the pull.

Gruul is slightly different, he's a DPS check primarily and more about being able to spread out when Ground Slam occurs so you do not get shattered.  Both you and Lucian managed to handle that pretty well last night, thus proving that it is not beyond the reach of SOG.

The difficulty with Gruul is that each 'Grow' he goes through (every 30 seconds) increases his damage output by 10%.  By the time you get to growth 14 he is starting to almost one-shot the off-tank with hateful strike and the healers will begin to struggle to keep up with the damage done to both the OT and the MT, but at least it allows you to work out how quickly you need to DPS.  The only thing you can do for Gruul is bring high DPS.  That doesn't mean everyone has to be in full epics.  I still wore mainly blues when Gen first killed Gruul, but you do need everyone to have a good level of kit and probably for those early tries to have a flask and to pop as manay pots as needed to keep going.

None of the above is impossible for SOG imo.  The only thing that SOG is not yet ready for is fielding 25 people for a single raid, but that's something that might well change over time.

As an aside, the Gruul raid was made up largely of alts from Genesis and Sora, but very well geared alts and people who already know the fight.  My personal congratualtions to both Sheepy and Lucian who showed up real well against these experienced players in both DPS and understanding of the fight.   I think Sheepy came 3rd or so in DPS for the fight and Lucian was well up into the top 10 form what I recall.  That level of DPS means you can do Gruul if you can field the other 23 people.
