Now that we are gonna increase the recruiting activity a bit, I've thought a bit about how we can make it easier to keep an eye on the new folks:

Could we make a new sub-forum, for instance under 'Work In Progress', called 'Initiates'? So, when new people are invited, instead of putting them directly into their respective class forums, we'll put them in there for the initiation period.

That way, it will be easier for us to at all time know who are initiates and should be kept an extra eye on. It will also be easier to find their threads if we should have any comments on how they are doing, if we get any complaints etc. It will also help us keep an eye on when peoples initiation periods are up, and when they do if there are no comments, we can move the thread to the correct class forum and post saying their status has been upgraded.

Sounds sensible?

As numbers will not be large, may I simply suggest using the WIP topic and amending the application title to include 'Initiate'.  When or if they are finally accepted then you can amend the thread title to 'Accepted ,date'.  Otherwise you'll end up with a sub-topic that nobody looks at with 6 threads in it which strikes me as a bit of over-engineered for the size of the problem.

I've got a Bachelor in Engineering - that's my way of doing things :narnar:
And there is by the way no such thing as over-engineered :norty:

But yeah, your way sounds more sensible - at least for the numbers of applicants/initiates we will have.
