Quote from: T-Bag;205313I don't see £26.50 as being all that bad for TF 2 on it's own. If it's anything like CounterStrike:Source I'll play it for years. I paid more for Battlefield 2 and played it FAR less. The fact it comes with Ep.2 is good and Portal is great. I didn't have Ep.1 already, so thats good to get for free, but it would have still been decent value for money without it.

(as for "Peggle Extreme" I like having extra games in my list, I liked when Sam and Max showed up as 6 individual games, just looks cool to me, but if not it can always not be installed. Since it's free it's not a big deal...bit of a time passer)

Also if TF 2 doesn't turn out to be that great I can quite easily say I've spent money on worse things, a Belkin Router for instance...urghhh.
That's the spirit! :thumbsup2: If I stopped to think how much money I've flushed down the gaming/computer toilet I'd slit my wrists. :D

Could we have a TF2 Dmw server setup for the release?

You already set aside the server space and you've planned a frantic 24 hour TF2 gaming session? I call spy for the first 6 hours and medic the second 6 hours...I'll play the rest by ear.

More than that, thanks to a heads up from OB, we have over 1Gb of the data files preloaded! - just waiting for the server file to be released :)

TeaLeaf

I'm pre-ordered too and will be jumping onto the dMw TF2 server as soon as the rest of the files are released and installed.

Penfold

Do you get disks or is it all done via steam?

PEN

Jamoe

Mine all came down on steam, didn't take very long last night, I'm ready to play :)

Penfold

I'm a tad wary about notting getting any disks or anything. What happens if it crashes or you change computers?

All seems a bit dubious to me

Then you install steam and it gets downloaded again. Its all connected to your steam account.

If you've go to someone else's steam account it'll download all the games you have when you log on so you can never loose them (it also keeps compatibility with new operating systems so will last longer than the disk version).
And if you're worried about loosing the password etc then if you've used a debit/credit/paypal you've got an electronic record proving ownership aswell as the traditional password retrival systems. It's really quite secure.
