But hey! We all gotta go sometime. it's part of life. Better that, than dragging it out in a 'care' home. The shame is, his son also died in the crash. He didn't get his shot at life. :sad:

What a bloody shame, such a brilliant sportsman, who will be missed dearly.

Isn't it ironic though, that he has dodged death for over 10 years driving like a madman and ends up in a helicopter crash

He may be a contender for the BBC's sports personality of the year for his contribution to the rallying world. It is always a shame when famous sportsmen die but also it's a greater shame that his son was killed too

Yes I forgot about David Purley (I have seen the video of him trying to save anothers life from a burning car wreck :sad:)

I basically forgot about David Purley because i was only 3 when he died :sad:
