Just to let you know that I have achieved one of my most dubious accomplishments: C2KNI have banned DMW from access in school.

I used to surf the forums at lunchtime, but they figured out that DMw was strictly educational and banned it.

Damn damn damn.

I'm sure there's a way round it:norty:

Do what I did, find out a teachers password and unlock all the internet filters from your year group, and as a loophole make a new account with full access incase they figure that out, but don't use it too much.

That doesn't work in C2k - teachers have no admin rights, whatsoever - we just get extended server access and slightly wider internet access.  The only person in school who can change that is the server admin, and even then his powers are determined by the people in the c2k office in Belfast.

It really is secure!

A case of beer to the server admin still does wonders :narnar:

Beer doesnt work with this server admin :norty: although pringles and southern comfort does :lmfao:

have u tried just the IP to the forums in the address bar?

or using HTTPS://www.deadmen.co.uk/forum  (HTTPS instead of HTTP)

or the other way round net filters is to set your home router to pass traffic from port 23 to port 3389 and RDP from school to your home pc using port 23

so that when you RDP e.g mine would be ghouletech.dyndns.net:23 (see the colon telling mstsc.exe which port to use) this way you can also get at your home pc for other things aswell.... also set up a dynDNS server account so that you only have to remember your URL and not your modems IP (your router should come with some already there and some you cant change e.g my netgear will only allow dyndns.org whereas my DShite would allow dndns.org, no-ip.com and another one)
Are you going to come quietly, or do I have to use earplugs?

or you could use a proxy.

www.daveproxy.co.uk is one that's run by a friend of mine. I am actually in the middle of setting my own proxy up, ill post the address when I'm done.

@ Tor: i assume you have to install that. I doupt Lucian has any rights to install programs, especially if its anything like my wife's network at her school. They don't even have an admin and have to ring Netlinc for a temporary password to install software.
