THQ's and Relic's beloved RTS, sequel and new expansion Warhammer 40K: Dawn Of War - SoulStorm has been announced back in October 2007, revealing a new playable evil army known as Dark Eldar. Which are evil pirate counterparts of the nice and shiny tree hugging Eldar. While stating that two new playable races/armies will be available.

And so the theories of Warhammer 40K experts started to pool in, mostly pointing out that the vile Tyranid race will be included. A vast, Zerg-like race that devours and assimilates all living creatures in the galaxy, bound by Hive minds. Anyways, that would be pretty, however another race was chosen. Which makes sense, since we have a new evil race, we add a new good race. Good... so to speak in Imperial terms in the happy 40K universe.

The new army confirmed are the The Sisters Of Battle. To put it in simple terms, these are Space marine female counterparts, which deploy heavy power armors, big bolt guns, and tons of flamers acting as witch hunters for the 41st Millenium. Interesting to know that Sisters of Battle, although very similar to Space Marines, do not use and genetic enhancements (gene-seeds) to battle evil. Therefore everything these sweet armored fanatic nuns have on them is their's and natural... no implants... (sigh)

With regards to game play, Dark Eldar will be able to harvest soul power as one of the army's resource, while the Sister will gain Faith points which will allow Sisters to perform tasks, special abilities and "miracles".

Really disappointed no tyranids/genestealers.

Sisters of Mercy & Dark Eldar?  Meh - think I'll wait till they build a decent engine that can cope with Tyranids.  It's what most DoW players have been crying out for, but they seem to be holding it back for DoW II.

This is just another cash-in update, so I think I'll save my money after the disappointing Dark Crusade, where you could simply win all maps by following the same tactic
If I wanted you to understand I would have explained it better
