I think this thread needs a big BUMP.

I still see some large signatures popping up again lately.

Even my text should be removed but some people's sig are 3 times as high.

I do pull people up on it when I see their big sigs.

I normally get a snooty pm back in return but people tend to take notice.

Send me a PM with the culprits and I'll take it in hand. Now I've told people to change them I think it's important to continue to do so.

Had a chat with TL, allready PM'd a few people and hopefully they'll take it as a hint.

I may have been to the pub, and this idea may be way out there....

If everyone just looked and thought, 'ooh, my signature is a bit large and stands out too much, I better make it more subtle and bandwidth friendly' then we wouldn't need the PM's or rules.

Gents and Ladies, check your sigs, if they are bigger than other peoples tone them down, if not great. It's sometimes referred to as growing up and having some kind of common sense application abilities.

If everyone tries to make their sigs smaller than everybody elses then we should be OK.

Lets have a competition on who's got the smallest one! :dribble:
I do exactly what the little voices tell me to.

PC Specs:- Black box with some fans that go whirrr, a few lights, things inside that get warm, headphones, keyboard (a clicky one), mouse (with buttons and no squeak), disks (2-off SSD and HDD) and a monitor of sufficient proportions.

What if I make a huge sig made up of multiple 1 pixel images? :D

I'd stop your pocket money and no internet after 10 pm.

Doh! That won't work ... you've left home :)

The text that you have entered is too long (3318640 characters). Please shorten it to 20000 characters long.   :roflmao:

Can I have my tiny moniter now?

Bumpity Bump.

Once again, they're-a sneaking up in size again fellas. Please keep them in line with the above guidelines.

As more and more people read these forums from tablets or phones, it is becoming increasingly important to keep signature sizes down.

If you have multiple images in your signature then please run them side by side rather than on top of each other.

Thanks

Well yours was one of the ones I noticed tbh :-)

Wow almost five years....

Anyway, another bump about signatures. They're creeping up guys and girls. Please have a look at the first post in this thread and check your within the guidelines.

This also goes for avatar's. Some avatar's are becoming larger and longer making the post box huge. Please check them and rein them in.

Chaosphere

What is the size limit RE: avatars?

Probably mine is too big, please do tell if it is I can try to work out how to shrink it down haha :woot2:

I think it was a couple of releases back that allowed VB to make avatars as large as needed.

I'ts more the length of avatars than with width I think. Mine, too, is too large. I think we'll have a look and see if we can restrict them. The issue is that avatars, coupled with the badges makes each post field size mahoosive if you're trying to read a thread on a phone.
