What software do people use for ripping CDs to MP3 format and then for creating tags for the songs? Do you have a "one program does it all?" or do you use one for ripping and one for tagging?

Cheers for info peeps.

tagging = adding artist, album, song info, etc to an mp3 file

EAC to get Wav's of the CD, RazorLame to rip to MP3 in whatever quality you want, and then Mp3TagStudio 3 to tag the files. The tagging software is a gift from god! The biggest timesaver I've come across. Down side is it's not working on vista yet.

(Razorlame can get wavs from a cd but eac has error correction etc)

I've been using Easy CD-DA Extractor for years now and it's a fantastic bit of software. More file format support than you can shake a stick at :D

It does look good. I'm downloading it now. If it works on Vista it may well be the cure I've been looking for since I can't use mp3 tag studio.

Edit: It seems to do everything I can think of doing. Even uses the same encoder that I used before built in. Massive time saver and works great in Vista.

Not sure about the ripping part, but Tag&Rename is pretty awesome for filling in all the blanks about your music files.
If I wanted you to understand I would have explained it better

Also a nice little piece of software. Its a shell extension and changes the icon of your mp3 file into a little box that displays the kps of each mp3.
